And plenty of parking on the quiet access road in front of the hotel."

"Very nice spot to set up your base while exploring north wales. As a word of caution: its very convenient location to the bus and train service is a huge plus, but the actual train and bus service in this region is quite unreliable. I was able to make due but there were a few times I had to wait upwards of 2-3 hours for trains to return back to betwy y coed after a long hike so you may want to consider renting a car if you're exploring many parts of the region, but it is still very accessible via public transit if that is your only option. The hotels food was actually very good and balanced and I always looked forward to eating there for a reasonable price after a long day"

A real highlight is the wallpaper behind the dining table which is an OS map – genius! That was so useful. We’d recommend walking up and around. Llyn Elsi reservoir and another walk along the river to the ugly house and swallow balls. The white horse in. Capel Gamon was excellent."
