Find a Great Motel Suwakyo Promenade

Newly built. Spacious rooms. Suits family with young children.

This Ryokan is in a wonderful spa town and the hotel, staff, food, rooms and facilities were all wonderful. We will try and stay multiple nights next time to really get the feel of the town, region and people. wonderful small restaurants and hotels as well as large businesses. Should suit everyone.

Our family of 5 had an enjoyable stay in a large Japanese style room. Great location for the ropeway and gear hire available too so very convenient. Nice to have the communal kitchen and dining areas as we got to meet some other guests. The ping pong table got a lot of use too. They lend toboggans for free, which is heaps of fun for the kids and the owners kindly didn't charge us when we accidentally broke one! (Even though we offered). Traditional onsen is worth a visit and in walking...

Tha room was lovely, the onsen was wonderful, the kaiseki dinner was amazing as was the Japanese breakfast. The staff was very kind and vonsiderate. A perfect experience.

Everything in our room were spotless , easy access to public transport

Hotel Futaba truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed as a family of five, and the room was incredibly spacious, more like staying in an apartment than a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find that both breakfast and dinner were included, which was a huge bonus and meant we didn’t have to go out searching for food after a long day of snowboarding. We experienced a kaiseki dinner for the first time and it was absolutely amazing, one of the best cultural experiences of our trip. The hotel...

Very economical hotel. Room was relatively spacious (compared to Tokyo), clean, and there is lots of free parking. There aren't very many reasons to come here as an overseas traveller but this is a decent option if you are passing through and it punches well above its price in terms of delivery. Small quibble, arrived a couple of hours early and asked if my room was available -- was told I _could_ check in early but I would be charged for each hour early. It's only a favour if it is...

Great Ryokan, difficult to reach area, recommend more than one night stay just to unwind and truly appreciate the area, staff was friendly with limited English

Lawson is 2 min walk. Onsen is great We stayed on top floor 5th floor, lift only goes to 4th floor unfortunately, so carry up luggage 25 steps. Might need help if you struggle with heavy lifting Room is spacious. Lobby lounge comfy. Well family ran hotel. Shuttle bus runs frequently morning till 6pm. The shuttle bus at echigo station stops on the right side as you come out the sliding door of the station if you are looking for it. There is ski rental if needed. Small souvenirs...

Position is convenient for train and restaurants. Onsen area was fabulous alternating temperature between the 2 pools each day. All the personal care items you need. Microwave on each floor is handy. There was at least 1 english speaking staff on front counter at all times. Dinner a little expensive but food was nice.
