"This house has beautiful views and it was only about 45 min to Williamsburg. It is on Hills Bay, which flows into the Chesapeake Bay. The water is very shallow and would be great for younger kids. We brought kayaks and enjoyed our time on the water. It would be fantastic for someone that owns a boat too. "We loved staying at the Salt Box 2! The house is so close to the shops and the beach—it made everything about the stay easy. Loved sitting on the porch and meeting friendly neighbors. The house is even prettier than the pictures! It was perfectly well stocked. We never felt like we had to run out to get something we were missing. Very comfortable bed in the master bedroom, and the blackout curtains are so helpful. Great for our group of 5 adults and teens. "

"2 of my wheel covers were stolen during my last stay (sad face) BUT besides that my stay was PERFECT!!! I've stayed there twice so far. I do apologize for not remember the staff name but everyone that I encountered were pleasant and helpful. I would have stayed again on this upcoming trip, but the price was a little too steep for my pockets due to waiting to the last minute to reserve. I will how ever make sure to book in advance because it's hard to find a hotel that stays consistent especially when it comes to the cleanliness. So, whenever I visit family or come to see my nephew play at Hampton University...this hotel will ALWAYS be my go-to :) "
