Little National Hotel Newcastle

"There is a lot to like about this hotel, but also, it is not for everyone. Pros: The gym is very nice. Our floor had a filtered water dispenser (much appreciated!). I don't usually opt for having breakfast included, but I did this time, and I am glad I did. Breakfast is at Monte, a cafe next to the hotel, and it was excellent and generous. The hotel has a very cozy bar and a large shared workspace with individual cubicles excellent for teleconferencing. Housekeeping was prompt. It's very near a lovely walk along the bay with lots of restaurants. Cons: The room was small. There was no desk, and only one chair. The towels were thin. The biggest con is the bed. It is inserted into the back of the room with no space around it at all. With this odd arrangement, one person has to clamber over the other to get in or out of the bed. Bottom line: I would stay there again if traveling alone, but probably not if I was with my husband."

"We received a room upgrade which was fantastic, The unit was a great size. Everything that you would need for a weekend was there in your unit. The pool area could be a bit upgraded to some bbqs and more tables as there is a lot of space in the pool area. The parking was great aswell. "It’s an excellent location to walk to the beach, parks, galleries, shops. Plenty to see in every direction you go. Loved the spa bath, to run the water from the tap wasn’t working, so we needed to use the shower head to fill the bath. That took a little longer, but we still enjoyed the relaxing spa bath. The bed, kitchenette , balcony, large tv was excellent. We will come again. Regards Eva"
