Good communication with the owner, who is also very good with English. Breakfast is flexible, with good menu options available ordered the night before for a specific time. "This property is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. I like that it was quiet. It isn’t near downtown Izamal but cabs are cheap about 250 pesos. Only 10 bedrooms available.
My two complaints dinner was very slow. Took over an hour. I wish they would have brought our appetizer and drinks first but they brought everything at once. Second complaint there is only outdoor eating unless you decide to eat in your room in the dining area there were a lot of flies. I understand we were outdoors but it drove me crazy. But seriously don’t let that stop you from going that’s how beautiful this place is! "

"This property is very nice, the bedrooms are beautiful and the pool area lovely and very clean all round. We found there wasn’t much to do/see compared to other hacienda properties we’ve been to. No complaints on food or staff either, food was very good and excellent service staff. Just not a place we would return to for the price it costs. "
"These are cute little bungalows in a beautiful tropical forest setting in a quaint village 15 min from the pyramids at Chechen Itza.
The real gem here is Luis, the property owner and host. Luis greeted me with fresh juice and advice about visiting Cheche Itza and surrounding cenotes. He's a kind and gentle man and even broke out his guitar one evening.
Breakfast was also a highlight!
