"We stayed in the dome’s. They were very nice and cozy. My favorite part is having our own hot tub!! Very close to downtown which was convenient. Will have to go back to stay in one of the cabins next!"

"Clean room. Bathroom was large with an updated shower. Wifi in our room was a little spotty, but there were multiple connections to choose from and I may not have been on the optimal connection."

Mountaintop cabin 15 minutes from Hot Springs, AR - Perfect for a getaway

Mountaintop cabin 15 minutes from Hot Springs, AR - Perfect for a getaway

10/10 Excellent
"Comfortable bed, wonderful view, quiet location. Make sure you arrive with a jeep, truck, or AWD car as climbing up the gravel drive is steep and rugged. Amenities are plenty and Starlink internet is strong. Verify with owner that they are stocked up on toilet paper and paper towels. Also make sure you're able to climb the ladder upstairs to the loft bed. Well decorated and new feeling as of late 2026. Owner was available when needed. Depending on where exactly in Hot Springs you want to go, the drive can take 25 to 40 minutes. I would recommend this place for a couple's get away. Although be aware this County has no alcohol sales on Sundays."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Story?
The best area to stay in Story, Arkansas, is generally the immediate vicinity of the town centre, as it offers the most convenience and access to local amenities.Story is a very small, rural community, so the 'town centre' refers to the cluster of services and a few local businesses along Highway 270 and its immediate offshoots. Here, you'll find the local post office, a few small shops, and any limited dining options available. This area provides the most straightforward access to the main roads for exploring the surrounding Ouachita National Forest. For those seeking a quiet retreat into nature, staying in one of the few holiday rentals or cabins dotted around the outskirts of Story is ideal. These properties often provide direct access to hiking trails, fishing spots, and the serene environment of the Ouachita Mountains. This is particularly good for couples or solo travellers looking for a peaceful escape.
