"We had a wonderful stay in this house. It was sparkling clean and beautifully furnished. As noted in the profile, it can accommodate a big group of people. In addition to lots of beds, there are numerous common areas that allow for congregating and interaction. The back porch, which we did not expect, was very nicely appointed and a great place for group conversation. The yard is beautiful and well-kept. There are grocery stores nearby (including a Costco very close to the house) and restaurants. The location also allowed for simple travel to the noteworthy spots in Charleston. We communicated with the host, Connor, several times and he was always most helpful. Highly recommended."

"Property needed repair. Stairs to second floor were difficult with luggage. Room wasn't clean, especially bathroom corners had packed in dirt. "

"It was the most beautiful spot of natural beauty right on the Ashley River and a half hour from Charleston. The architecture was stunning and allowed us to feel like we were in nature whether we were in our bed, at breakfast, or in the Lodge, thanks to the oversized walls of glass in all buildings. Hammocks hanging in trees were inviting and helped us have the most relaxing retreat from the hectic pace life often demands. Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Rooms were very clean. Hot breakfasts daily at the Lake House were delicious and the complimentary offerings at the Lodge for Happy Hour and the Nightcap every evening were unexpected surprises. We are booking another stay later this summer even though we just got home to Greenville 3 days ago. The only recommendation I have is to ask for a first floor room if walking up a long flight of cement steps would be a challenge."

"Noisy beyond belief. If your fine microwaving meals you’re fine. They provide NO kitchen utensils and the only thing housekeeping does is change your sheets. They won’t even replace toilet paper!"
