"What an amazing place. So tastefully decorated and charming with everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Beautiful renovated barn that was secluded enough for privacy yet close to the hiking trails. We loved hearing the roaster in the morning and our neighbours ‘the sheep’ were adorable. "15yrs since our last visit and the passage of time hasn’t been kind to the establishment . From the lack of tlc in the old garden to the weeds on the oath and the unkempt front garden, first impressions were not good. The hotel or now restaurant with rooms is a tired old lady. Door are bashed and chipped, skirting’s are scratched and flaky. Carpets are tired and worn. Clean and tidy overall and with lovely friendly staff . Excellent food and service at meal times. But it is just tired, lacking an onsite manager."

"A fantastic location in the heart of Reeth with cafes, pubs and shops literally on the doorstep. We picked Feldman cottage as my 80 year old father has mobility issues and other than a could door thresholds it was all really easy for him. The cottage has everything you need and a lovely back garden. Would definitely recommend, particularly if you have someone who needs downstairs bedroom and bathroom (and doesn’t mind sleeping in a bunk bed). I’m pretty certain we’ll be back, my dad loved it"

"Beautifully clean cottage in an idyllic setting. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, which was very much appreciated for a chilly weekend, as were the fresh milk and delicious biscuits. Fantastic walks all over, every one of which our dogs loved.The cottage had everything we needed. A very well equiped kitchen, and we were happy to see for the first time in all our rentals, proper Gin glasses! Large, quality wine glasses too. In fact, the cottage was equipped with quality items...furniture, furnishings and utensils, crockery etc.The beds were very comfortable, with nice fluffy pillows.The log burner was very cosy on the chilly evenings, especially after a nice hot shower in the spacious cubicle, with a decent, powerful shower. Across the green are some great pubs serving a great range of beers and tasty food, and each one had a warm, friendly welcome. The quaint little post office and shop we found to be well equipped for anything we needed."
