The Burgoyne Hotel

"The hotel is beautiful, the room was stunning, quirky decor which I loved. The bed was huge! And comfy. Was a little disappointed with some little bits. 1 there was a hole in the wall where the door handle had hit it so many times. A metal plate had been fixed to the floor to stop this which was ugly and not in keeping with the room or hotel and the hole not patched up. 2 there was a square section of tiles missing off the bathroom wall and a wooden board in its place. Such a shame as a beautiful bathroom. Robes were in the wardrobe if wanted, lovely touch. Had no remote for the tv but the lovely guy who checked us in searched high and low for one bless him but was unable to. The next day we had one in our room but the tv Chanel’s we could get were Welsh. The Netflix app was foreign so still did f get to watch tv. After a long day walking a cup of tea and wind down bit of tv was what I fancied but was unable to on both nights. Breakfast was gorgeous I had salmon and scrambled egg my partner had full English, he said was perfect. Toast and tea and coffee plus yoghurt fruits and cereals and fruit juice. We never ate here in the evening as was closed on our first day (Monday) and second day we was out till late. The pub across the road the black bull had stunning food and drinks reasonably priced very friendly too. Would come again Reeth is stunning"

"The staff were great. I slept well despite the rattling window and the waterproof mattress. Everything was really clean except the area around the door handles, and the windowsills. One suggestion for improvement would be to have the corridor lights dimmed at night - I was the last one to go to bed in my dorm and the room flooded with light as I opened the door 😬"

"A fantastic location in the heart of Reeth with cafes, pubs and shops literally on the doorstep. We picked Feldman cottage as my 80 year old father has mobility issues and other than a could door thresholds it was all really easy for him. The cottage has everything you need and a lovely back garden. Would definitely recommend, particularly if you have someone who needs downstairs bedroom and bathroom (and doesn’t mind sleeping in a bunk bed). I’m pretty certain we’ll be back, my dad loved it"

"Beautifully clean cottage in an idyllic setting. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, which was very much appreciated for a chilly weekend, as were the fresh milk and delicious biscuits. Fantastic walks all over, every one of which our dogs loved.The cottage had everything we needed. A very well equiped kitchen, and we were happy to see for the first time in all our rentals, proper Gin glasses! Large, quality wine glasses too. In fact, the cottage was equipped with quality items...furniture, furnishings and utensils, crockery etc.The beds were very comfortable, with nice fluffy pillows.The log burner was very cosy on the chilly evenings, especially after a nice hot shower in the spacious cubicle, with a decent, powerful shower. Across the green are some great pubs serving a great range of beers and tasty food, and each one had a warm, friendly welcome. The quaint little post office and shop we found to be well equipped for anything we needed."

"A superbly renovated and crafted cottage in a central location in lovely Reeth. All the comforts you need for a relaxing break in Swaledale and further afield. Walks and longer hikes from the doorstep and close to some stunning scenery and places to visit. Hosts Denise and Ken were fantastic and always available if needed. They have done a fantastic job with Courtyard Cottage and we will certainly be visiting again soon."
