It was just we needed, isolated without being too far from the necessities and activities we wanted to experience. The treehouse was pretty cool. If you aren’t used to driving in the mountains or different grades,be careful when entering the drive. Take it slow going in and you’ll be fine, but tricky exiting. Overall, it was great and Kim was extremely responsive.
Great cabin! The host was able to accommodate us on short notice after our first reservation fell through.
The treehouse ‘bedroom’ looks like fun, but definitely not for the faint of heart in colder weather like when we visited. The wood stove is lovely. If you go in winter, you may want to buy some drier kindling yourself to get the fire going, some of the logs supplied were a little wet and hard to light, but nothing insurmountable.
Overall, great location and cabin. Secluded, neat and clean. Would love to visit again with a larger group!
Overall great experience! Everything was labeled and organized so we were able to find everything we needed easily. The host always responded quickly. We traveled with two small children and there was never a dull moment on the property with all of the children amenities provided. We enjoyed the fire pit and community pond for fishing. The gravel road had steep inclines as mentioned on the site but we were able to make it with our midsize suv. We had a great weekend! If I had to split hairs I would suggest updating the binder of additional information as some were dated 2018 and some restaurants had different information.
Lovely cabin. Amenities were very good, well stocked kitchen too. The only reason not to give 5 stars was that the cabin could have been cleaner when we arrived. There was lots of hair on the box spring in the main bedroom and floors needed sweeping. Otherwise great and we would rent this again.
We needed a getaway for some peace and quiet. This was the oasis we needed. This cabin has everything you will need. Surrounded by Shenandoah National park. Lots of hiking trails. Satellite interenet and TV (Roku for streaming)
Absolutely LOVED it there! Had all the amenities we wanted, very secluded and quiet. Two pit fire locations, a treehouse for our son and his friend, good hiking area. Just loved it, plus owner is very responsive. Will book again next winter, hopefully there will be snow.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It might be helpful to note that the Treehouse is a good 50 yards down the lane from the main cabin and is accessed by some potentially challenging steps depending on your mobility. The mattress there is more of a pad. It was fine for our teens but wouldn’t recommend for most adults. Loved the privacy and the pond for fishing. Kitchen could use a few more supplies. It’s nice to find a place we can enjoy with our dogs. Host is very quick to respond.
