Perfect Cabin in a Beautiful Location

This was a great cabin for a quiet weekend getaway for two. The cabin was immaculately clean and well-appointed. The view from the hot tub and porch were beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more for a relaxing weekend.

Getting away from it all.

Me and a long-time friend needed to get away for a relaxing long weekend. This cabin provided exactly what we needed. Back deck with amazing views, which included cows and calves playing. Short beautiful drive to amazing hiking in the mountains. Definitely seeing another stay here in the future!

Girls weekend

Friends of over 34 years gathered for a special weekend in Luray. The cabin was very cute and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the views! Oh my, the views were fantastic! The hot tub was a special treat after hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice cabin, great views

Excellent stay at the cabin, loved the kitchen, porch and patio spaces to relax in during the evenings. Views of the mountains were the highlight, and the hot tub felt great after hikes. Hot tub could have been a bit cleaner, beds were a bit stiff, and the scent from the cattle nearby occasionally reached us, but all easily overlooked for how nice our stay was.

Wonderful stay near Shenandoah National Park

My husband and I had a wonderful stay while visiting Shenandoah National Park. It was about 20 minutes from the park and a very quiet and peaceful place. We loved waking up to see the cows and the sunrise. The hot tub was a great for after long days hiking in the park. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Cabin in the mountains

A lovely, secluded cabin overlooking cows, mountains, and big sky! The house itself is charming, the hot tub dreamy, and plenty of cozy space indoors. Perfect location and the host was responsive and the listing accurate. A great time was had by all.

Beautiful Fall Weekend in the Mountains of Virginia

Everything was considered and provided for a comfortable stay adjacent to a working farm. The views were expansive and beautiful. The location was close to Luray and the activities/shops/restaurants in that area. This is a great get-away spot.

Home away from home

This is a fantastic little property that is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. I can appreciate small town living, being away in the country, and this little place lifts you up and takes you away to relaxation land. The property was very clean, tidy, packed with everything you need from condiments to a full kitchen filled with pots, pans, etc. Will definitely come back for another stay.

Peaceful retreat

We had a relaxing long weekend watching the cows and deer. Enjoyed a fire in the fire pit our last evening there. It was an ideal location to go to the caverns and into the forest.

Weekend Getaway

We have been staying at this location since 2020. The location is perfect. Lot's of privacy. Very cozy and love the hot tub. This location has the best views of the mountains. Definitely will be back!

Virginian country getaway

We had a great 5 night stay at Lucas Cabins. It was a pleasure to sit on the porch and simply take in the view. The cabin was super clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could need for a lovely stay. The hot tub was an added extra and especially enjoyed by our children! We'd recommend this cabin to others wanting to explore the Shennandoah region of Virginia.

Breathtaking Beauty

This stunning home was everything we could have asked for , peaceful, clean , cute and close to town but far enough away to be the perfect location. My husband suprised me with this beautiful trip and he out did himself with this home ! The neighbors were the cutest cows and thr views are breathtaking . We cant wait to vist again soon ! Very Calming

First time staying in Luray Va. Every one we met was friendly and very helpful in how to find places of interest. The cabin we stayed in was so much better then having to stay in a hotel. It was clean, the decor was tastefully done and very comfortable. We hope to stay again before this year is over. Thank you!

Relaxing!

Beautiful property with beautiful scenery! Very clean and the layout was great. We had a 4 night stay and visited Shenandoah River State Park, many of the small businesses on Main Street in Luray, Shenandoah National Park, and Luray Caverns. It was in the 90s during our visit so we didn't have too much opportunity to use the hot tub, but we squeezed in a few minutes in the evenings watching the sunset before having an excellent view of the Perseids meteor shower from the lawn. The kids counted 58 cows on the first day! Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Luray Getaway

My partner and I had a wonderful couple days at this cabin! The views from the porch were absolutely stunning to wake up to. We loved sitting in the hot tub for a short time before hopping out to look at the stars. We’d happily stay again soon. Make sure you bring everything you need (including paper towels and extra toliet paper) along with any ingredients (we forgot olive oil to grease the pan to cook) lol. Easy to clean up everything (strip the sheets and change the trash bags) to leave it nice and clean for the next visitors! Had an amazing time!

Not the cleanest or best sleep

The cabin wasn’t very clean. Sinks in bathrooms were dirty, commodes had hair on them and dresser’s in bedroom were dusty. Fridge shelves were dirty. The bed was the most uncomfortable mattress we have ever slept on. Extremely hard and uncomfortable. The owner needs to put new pillow top mattresses on beds immediately. The whole place needs updated. It’s decorated from the 80’s. Location and view was extremely good !!

Great cabin, great location, and great host.

Me, my wife, and our adult Son and Daughter-in-law had visited Luray for our first time in 2022. We stayed in a mountain cabin and loved it. I was initially concerned about this cabin's location, but it turned out to be just as beautiful a view as the mountain cabin, and was much more conveniently located to Luray and was still close to the National Park. Cows and Deer were a daily sight on the adjacent farm, and contributed towards the overall country serenity. Hot tub was new, clean, and covered. Note that there are 3 cabins total, and one is relatively close to this one. Nevertheless, we felt we had privacy, and only heard the neighbors on the back porch once during our 4 day stay. We have a small family, but for larger groups I would suggest renting all 3 cabins. There is also a centrally located covered structure they are working on which would also be ideal for a group. Great cabin, great location, and great host.
