This was a perfect cabin getaway. Beautifully decorated, very clean, and modern cabin. The owners have put a lot of effort into making this cabin special. From the fire pit with swing to the hot tub, everything was wonderful.

Weekend cabin getaway

We had the best time at this mountain cabin! Took my husband for his 50th birthday, and we loved everything about our stay. The cabin was beautiful and had perfect views of the Shenandoah mountains. The hot tub and fire pit area were amazing. 5/5 stars!

Perfect Getaway!

We had a wonderful mini-vacation at Hawksbill Retreat. The cabin was perfect for 2; extremely clean, peaceful, and beautiful views. The cabin is approximately 20-minutes to Shenandoah National Park, 15-minutes to downtown Luray.

Perfect weekend get away

The view from our cabin was gorgeous. We were in close proximity to Shenandoah National Park which was the purpose of our stay. Their rules are quite strict but we knew that going in. There are no toiletries provided which they also mention in the welcome letter but it would be a nice touch to include a bar of soap at least.

Amazing mountain getaway!

My wife and I stayed the weekend in cabin 6 and it was a wonderful place! Very clean, secluded, yet had a beautiful view of the scenery. Also, lots of wildlife moving about if you keep an eye out for them (lots of deer and a pretty red fox). The location is great, as it is just a few minutes from Luray and we found lots of great food and entertainment in the downtown area. Highly recommend a trip to Luray and the cabins at Hawksbill Retreat!

This property was amazing! Randy, was super helpful leading up to our trip. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and very well maintained. The location was about 30 minutes from Shenandoah National Park and 15 minutes from downtown Luray. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Fall Vacation

This well maintained property is a must see!! The scenery was amazing. Once we arrived and went to the grocery store we never left the cabin again. We finally got to relax and enjoy each other again away from all the everyday chaos! We sat outside around the fireplace laughing and talking. We cooked on the grill even sat around the fireplace to eat. Everything you needed was right there just bring food and yourself!! We cannot wait to go back next year. We were really impressed with the detail of the cabin and the layout!! Just a peaceful trip!!

The perfect Luray cabin.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this property Friday through Monday and it was literally perfect in every aspect. The location and views were amazing, the cabin was clean and cozy, and the amenities were perfect. Make sure you are prepared to bring all spices and cooking accessories though because it’s a basic kitchen with just appliances. We had added an additional day which the hosts were so accommodating with. Honestly can’t recommend this place enough. My boyfriend and I can’t wait to return.

Extended weekend trip

We stayed in early September and did enjoy our stay at the cabin. The cabins were very clean and everything seemed pretty new. Location was great and the views from the cabin are really good. The cabin was 1 bed, 1 bathroom, and a kitchen area. The living room bedroom and kitchen are basically all one room. There was a fire pit and hot tub outside as well. The only down side which it’s not really that much of an issue but if you book with virbo the cabin owners then also send like a contract to sign and if you didn’t see their emailing then you might not have a cabin when you got there.

Definitely a Retreat

This property was beautifully stationed with a view of the blue ridge mountains that could be seen from any cabin. The cabin I stayed in was clean, updated, and had all the necessary amenities to make any trip amazing. My favorite things from this trip were the hot tub with a view, the swing with fire pit, and the indoor fireplace. Definitely an amazing place to escape the world for a while and spend some time reflecting on what matters most. Will be returning in the future!

Perfect Getaway

The property itself is PERFECT for a couples getaway or a solo vacation. I truly enjoyed the time to relax & reset. My only issue when booking with VRBO you don't realize some of the "normal" things you find in rental properties were not there until you get there. I've booked with rental properties and there has always been seasonings left in the kitchen (at least salt & pepper). The only other issues is the cleaning requirements....sweeping & mopping the floor definitely was a bit much since there was a cleaning fee. Overall I would book it again.

Honeymoon

Beautiful panoramic mountain view! Cabin was very cute and clean. It sits very close to other cabins. We had some difficulty with the front door lock because the battery was low and the TV remote batteries were dead. The bed is very firm and not comfortable at all. The picture/description said there was a swing but the swing has been removed. It has 2 chairs in its place. There was no covering over it so we were unable to use it due to rain. The area is very rural, takes 30-40 minutes to get anywhere with shopping/restaurants.
