"Rooms were clean and hotel was nice. Unfortunately for us, we booked for the pool and was not notified ahead of time that the pool was going to be closed. Very disappointing."

"In the middle of our stay, the City of Brampton posted a Notice on the front door pertaining to the owner not having license. This required us to take pictures of it and send it to him. I received no response. The Next day the mortgage company knocked on the door and asked us how long we are staying and I told them. However as we still had several days to stay this was not a relaxing stay in the least. Upon coming to the property on the first day, there was a parked car on the driveway and there was no driveway space to park and the city had a snow event, meaning it was forbidden to park on the street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. to allow for, plows, salters, and emergency vehicle access. Violations can result in tickets (250–750) or towing, as parking enforcement operates 24/7. I stayed up until around 2 am talking to VRBO due to the host not communicating with me when I arrived and messaged him repeatedly. The next day VRBO had the owner connect me and he sternly told me street parking is free and you got what you signed up for and then after I asked him about the parking position of the car below, he said he would move the vehicle the next day and becuase he did not I had to stay up again and message him. He moved it off the drive way on the following day. This was the most stressful experience of a short term rental I have ever experienced. "

"I wish I had seen the review from the guest in December prior to booking this property. Sadly, we experienced the very same issues. We came to Brampton to work on a volunteer construction project and were excited to find a home with a garage, especially with the frigid temperatures. This home was a beautiful property, in it’s day. Unfortunately, it has not been well maintained. The garage had several garbage bags stacked up when we arrived. I spent the first day cleaning, as I found dog and human hair in the bedding, mold and personal items in the bathroom. (I even found the baggage tag of the previous tenants). On a positive note, they have all the cleaning products on site and there is a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer, so I was able to clean the floors, walls and wash all the bedding when we arrived and leave the home cleaner when we left.Much like the other review, the furnace was malfunctioning during our stay and we woke up more than one morning without any heat. We were given some tricks to try to re-set the furnace, but the malfunction continued and the furnace continued to turned off. After a few days they dropped off a couple space heaters, but we still chose to leave a day early and asked for a day's refund, because we didn’t feel safe staying. We took video footage of the property when we left, and am I ever glad we did, as we just received a ridiculous bill for charges for something that they claim we damaged. We will be disputing the charges."

"Sue & Manny were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. I loved how they decorated the Rustic Barn for Christmas - made me feel like I was home when I couldn’t be during this time of year. They even went above and beyond with my dogs and would bring them up to play with their dogs - my dogs always wanted to go upstairs when we’d go for a walk when I got home from work! She would keep me updated on how the were doing during the day and send pictures - it was a real family feel! I am so grateful to have found the Rustic Barn with Sue and Manny, and for it to be my very first Vrbo experience ever! Thank you so much - we will be back!"

"The cleanings of the kitchen was not good, cabinets spotty and sticky, food crumbs on stove vent and left over food in the fridge. The kitchen was poorly serviced.it did not have paper towel or one Kleenex box. The upside is that floor was clean, bathrooms were clean."
