Wonderful Oasis
My husband and I rented this home for the month of September. St. Ives was our base from which to explore Cornwall’s coastline. Various family and friends visited us while we were in St. Ives and the house easily accommodated 8 adults. If you have young children, Fay set up a children’s bedroom that is precious. I cannot say enough about the home, it’s location and Fay, the property owner. The house is well appointed, comfortable and recently renovated. The view from all front rooms is spectacular. The beds are quite comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. Also, the garden terrace is remarkable with a stunning view of Porthmeor Beach. We had breakfast and dinner on the terrace when the weather permitted. And, you are in walking distance to the beach and St. Ives. Also, reserved parking is directly in front of the house. It is worth noting St. Ives’ topography is hilly. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. I highly recommend this jewel nestled into the hillside, above the town. Also, Fay was so responsive and helpful; the perfect host!

A really beautiful house
The property was beautifully presented and really well laid out. Whilst the location up a steep hill was a challenge for the older members of our group, this was easily addressed by me dropping off and picking them up at the bottom of the hill and then walking the few minutes back to the group. This little extra effort was 100% worth it for the stunning views we were rewarded with. I would not hesitate to recommend this house.

Ocean Scene is an amazing house over looking the most wonderful view of the sea and beach , the photographs of the house and views on the website were pretty amazing but to actually be there was breath taking. The house has everything you could possibly need, every detail has been carefully thought about by the owner including plenty to entertain the children, the seating and dining area at the bottom of the garden is amazing over looking the beach we loved sitting there in the evening. We were pleasantly surprised to find there was parking for 3 large cars that was an added bonus. We were sad to leave but had an amazing holiday in an amazing house and would love to go back !!!

2 weeks August family holiday, with various guests staying. Spacious house - bedrooms and bathrooms all high spec. Highlights: sitting room window seat, decking at end of garden, mazing views and really handy to walk to everywhere in St Ives. Highly recommended.

Stunning views and perfect location
We stayed for 3 nights for my birthday, and the house is just beautiful. The views are breath taking and the house had everything you’d need. The garden is great, and it was a really thoughtful touch to leave coal for the bbq. Overall our stay couldn’t have been better and I can’t wait to stay again! Dream Stay
We were absolutely blown away by this property - the views are jaw dropping, the location is very private but just a few minutes walk to Porthmeor Beach, and the property itself was just wonderful. Everything was clean, homely, and so elegantly decorated. It's very clear that this property is well loved, and so much thought has gone into the finer details such as a coffee machine and dog toys neatly stowed by the door. We had brilliant communication with the owner and a very warm welcome waiting for us. I cannot believe our luck at having found such an absolute gem, and look forward very much to staying again in the future.

Great house and location for a multigenerational visit to St Ives!
The house was just spectacular with everything our party needed and lots more we didn’t expect. The house is beautiful and finished to a great standard. Lots of added extras that made our stay comfortable from beach toys for the kids to windbreakers for your visits to the myriad of local beaches. While the garden isn’t connected to the house itself the, it was separated by a quiet road. Overall a fabulous stay!

We had a fantastic week's stay here ! The location is great for the Surf school and the shops, with Porthmeor beach about a 5 min walk. ( Steep uphill walk on the way back !) All the rooms are a good size with the 2 larger bedrooms having amazing sea views. The view from the lounge is also lovely. The garden is great for a barbeque or drinks on the patio and has panoramic sea views. There is also a den with football table and a play kitchen which our 4 year old daughter loved. Adequate parking for 2 large cars, this house has ticked every box for us this year !!

The booking process and communication with the property owners was very impressive. Our party consisted of 10 people, from 11 months old to 76 years old. Superb holiday
The property was excellent in every aspect. We were an extended family on holiday and were delighted with the property, the location and the close attention to detail taken by the owner in equipping the property for all age groups and all needs. It was a special weekend and enhanced by such a beautiful house. To wake up and look at the dawn over Porthmeor beach and the the little chapel on the headland from the top floor bedroom will last in our memories in the future.

This house has some of the best views in St Ives, absolutely stunning. It sleeps 10 and has large rooms to accommodate everyone. Great location for the beach and town but it may hurt on the climb back up the hill, but it will be worth it!

Owners rectified a problem quickly and were professional in every way
The house has amazing views and is tastefully decorated. The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and relax. We did not have children with us but this house is exceptional for little ones with a play house and pirate ship in the garden. Joanna and Matt were let down by their cleaning company so the house was not well presented on our arrival but once we notified them they dealt with it quickly and even turned up themselves to clean. We could not have asked for a better response to a difficult situation.

We had a very special family holiday in a very special place and house. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere and take in the local cuisines and scenery. The house was perfect for us, as it allowed every couple to have their own space but also to come together for meals and games in the lovely kitchen and lounge areas. Beautiful property, even more beautiful view
This house was perfect for our family of five for a week's stay in St. Ives. The decor is light and airy (as one would want a beach house to be), the furniture and beds are very comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. The garden with its sofa overlooking Porthmeor beach is lovely in the early morning with coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine. I happily recommend this house to anyone travelling to this wonderful little town.

The terraced house with 3 floors on the hill has magnificent views from the 2 main bedrooms and the lounge onto the sea, beach and Saint Ives . The interior is tasteful and has a fresh and clean maritime feel. St Ives is easily accessible by foot as well as the south coastal footpath . The garden is separated by a street which is however only used by the neighbours or their guests, so quiet. Equally beautiful views from the garden where you have a lounge part and a dining part. Recommendable!

Fabulous house in a fabulous position
This house is in a great position for just sitting and enjoying the view both in the house and from the decking. There is plenty of space for everyone and the house has been well equipped. The top bedroom overlooking St Ives has stunning views, however, as its the furthest point from the kitchen it could perhaps benefit from tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a couple of extra plugs for charging phones etc. It might also benefit from a chest of drawers for extra storage. The house is in a quiet position, yet not far from the shops and hubbub of the town centre and only taking a few minutes to walk there (it might take a little longer getting back, but the position of the house is perfect and well worth the steep climb back). The design, layout and facilities have all been thoughtfully and cleverly put together. The fact that the only things to perturb us were not being able to find a pen and a lack of soap racks in the showers speaks volumes for how well appointed the house is.

Spacious, good layout , good location , stunning views
Lounge furniture is well used and in need of updating along with washer and dryer. Dryer just would’nt dry clothing even a small amount . Several kitchen door handles were loose and a few of the dining chairs were also unstable when sitting on them . Back double bedroom and first floor double bedroom had flickering lights . Vent in top floor bedroom constantly banging from the wind . Grumpy neighbour at no 7 (not owners fault though) . Please also be aware dog poo on the lawn was there when we arrived and not from our dogs . Other than that house very well equipped , we have enjoyed our stay and would recommend .

Two families shared this beautiful house for a long weekend...every one of us loved the property - warm, cosy, well equipped with stunning views from all front facing windows. We didn't use the cars at all as walking to town is only 5 mins or so away. Great places to eat...we heard the Shanty singers and watched a seal at the shoreline on Porthgwidden beach! Fabulous sea views!
Our family, of two adults and two grown up children with their partners and dog, had a wonderful holiday at this perfect property. The amazing sea views take your breathe away, especially from the top floor bedroom. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly had to leave. St Ives is as charming as ever and we highly recommend eating at The Cellar Bistro. We also had a lovely spa day at The Harbour Hotel. We were also lucky with the weather and enjoyed a walk around Godrevy Head, where we saw a huge seal colony. All in all we had everything we needed for a great holiday. Lovely home with a sea view that never gets old
Thank you Matt and Jo for a wonderful stay. The house was gorgeous and immaculate. The window seats in the bay windows are perfect for reading and staring out at the sea, watching the surfers and dogs on the beach below. It was very quiet and peaceful for getting a good night’s rest. Easy walking into town and the South West Coast Path is practically right at the door step. We look forward to returning.

Fabulous, the view is amazing.
Excellent location, a short walk to Portmeor and the coastal path toward Zennor. It is really a house for maybe 2 families with children, but also ideal for the two of us with two dogs. The garden is across the road from the house but this is not a problem as there are only residents using the road and it is quiet. The garden itself is wonderful with a panoramic view of the beach. The owners, Jo and Matt, had left a welcome hamper and pastries in the freezer and they are lovely people who can't do enough to make your stay more enjoyable. I
