Cottage by the Sea, Wi-Fi, Pets Accepted
This delightful fishermans cottage perches high above the town of St Ives and offers families a quaint and comfortable retreat in one of Cornwall's most sought-after holiday destinations.
Set over three floors, Good Day Sunshine is a lovely little hideaway. On the ground floor is an open plan living room with an electric log-effect wood-burner, and a kitchen which has an AGA and small dining area. Upstairs on the first floor, there's a gorgeous double bedroom with a king size bed and sea views, as well as a family bathroom with freestanding tub and shower over. Children have their own lovely space to enjoy in the bedroom at the top of the cottage under the eaves, and there are more sea views over St Ives Bay from its main window.
Famous for its picturesque harbour, iconic Tate St Ives art gallery, terrific restaurants and independent shopping, St Ives is a dream location for family getaways. A bustling atmosphere during the summer months and a laid-back vibe out of season make it the perfect place for a getaway at any time of the year.
Close to the cottage are the Trewyn Sub Tropical Gardens and The Barbara Hepworth studio and garden, both great for days out with the family, as well as the many wonderful beaches in the area including Porthmeor and Porthminster. If you'd like to surf while on holiday St Ives Surf School (based on Porthmeor) offers wetsuit and board hire as well as surf lessons. The nearby Porthminster Beach is a good all-rounder for the whole family and there's also a wonderful beach café there where you'll be able to enjoy a cold drink and watch the waves roll in.

This house suited me perfectly, I was travelling alone and it was perfectly positioned for very easy walking access around St Ives, to the galleries and near the station as travelled by train.

Great location for a cosy stay
Location was brilliant and the house was perfect for our stay.
It had everything we needed for our holiday and great that it was dog friendly.
It would have been nice to use the top floor beds for our friend who joined us, but the owner will only allow children in this room. I’d also mention it needed some simple DIY : touchups to freshen it up a little.
Thanks for a lovely stay overall!

Got my steps in !
Nice property. Replete with all facilities for a family holiday. Clean and well maintained. Attic and living room got a little cold but settled down after a couple of nights of heating.Slightly difficult to access as in a narrow by lane with 30 steps leading to property. Nearest car park about . 5 miles away. Would maybe book something easier to access with kids next time.

Just beautiful.
I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, relaxing home. It was in the perfect location and was so relaxing. The only thing I would say was that the skirting boards needed a dust and I found a stained wine glass in the cupboard. So, maybe a bit more of a thorough clean is needed at times. I also think they could do with a fully sized ironing board as the mini one they have is not good for ironing adult clothes. But, apart from those little minor details, I loved it.
Wow,it was wonderful..the steps were a workout, the view was stunning,Loved the layout of the cottage, easily to get to town, and nearby locations via train at st Ives.restaurants were amazing..thanks for the great weather..and bluest ocean,Highly recommend this good day sunshine cottage, what a brilliant way to describe this cottage as the sun poured in every morning.thank You!!!
