Mersey River Chalets a nature retreat

"Exceeded our expectations. Minutes from Keji. Stayed in the lodge but felt like a cabin. Clean room with comfy bed, grills out the back patio doors, microwave and coffee maker. We could hear the family next door loud & clear (thin walls) other than that it was incredible. The boardwalk on property along the river was beautiful. Saw a river otter (twice) and used their kayaks for an evening paddle which was wonderful. Stocked up on groceries on Liverpool. Make sure you have a full tank of gas on your way!"

"Amazing staff and service. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Room was a little outdated: no bathroom fan, no thermostat. If you want to adjust the temperature or the fan speed: you need to contact the lobby each time. Not very convenient. Amazing facilities wirh pool, play ground for kids, chess boards, etc. We enjoyed live music at night and had an amazing breakfast in the morning. Overall very satistied and planning to be back!"

"We absolutely loved our time at this cottage! It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well supplied and the beds are comfortable. The deck has a lovely view and we really appreciated having use of the kayaks! The area is stunning and there are endless outdoor options for beach trips, hikes and sights like the Balancing Rock. We would definitely stay at this location again in the future!"

"I wasn't familiar with the bed-and-breakfast concept, never having shared living quarters with property owners before, but Len and Judie were generous, lovely, welcoming, and full of great information about the area. They fully respected our privacy. Loved using the kitchen, deck, and backyard and all the books and games. The rooms were beautiful and beds comfortable.A new neighbor in the area came by to meet the hosts and it surprised me when he walked into our guest living room where I was relaxing with a movie, instead of following the hosts through their space. That was my only privacy concern, but that was a reflection on him, not on Len and Judie!The home was restful and a good launching pad for all our Nova Scotia adventures. Thank you for your hospitality."

"Bear cottage was a lovely surprise in the middle of the forest. We were delighted with the pristine, well appointed accommodations. Our host, Bernard, was absolutely welcoming and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for more.....We will return."

"The cottage really out did the photos. It felt like home immediately, only with Great Lake views from every window. My first thought was I wonder if they’d like to sell this place! Jacques is a great host and responded right away to questions and took care of all our needs. Suggested a local farmers market, restaurants and even gave us a jar of his pickled bar clams. Super guy and host."
