"Loved this little hotel which was walking distance from a lot of food and shopping as well as the cathedral and other sites. Beautiful garden, nice bar, and delicious breakfast."
"A beautiful pub in a quiet village in Hampshire. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. I felt at home and will definitely stay here again when in Andover. "
"A really great and unique experience that was different to the usual B&B offering. Room, breakfast and people were all excellent and would recommend a visit if in Winchester. Thanks! Neal"
"Great little getaway. We stayed overnight, and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was great, and the staff were fantastic. Close to Winchester, but far enough to have a real countryside vibe!

"Comfortable beds, great walk into town, easy check-in if their car park is full, there is another over the road. We stayed for one night - easy for a quick stay for the weekend. "

"Weather was good on our first day and we got use of the garden area for drinks and snacks. The room was very comfortable and clean and the service was great. We had booked the Wednesday night and then decided to book additionally night on the Tuesday so we could see around Winchester and we are glad we did. The hotel reception managed to leave us in the same garden vie room rather than moving to the Feature double room. Although this room was bigger and more facilities within the room we were happy to stay within the room we were in. So the staff were very accommodating and very helpful. Would recommend this hotel for its staff and its location. John McLelland "
"Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service
natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful."

"We spent five excellent days in Winchester. The hotel could be described as boutique and has a beautiful cowherd we ate and had pre dinner drinks. It was very comfortable and close to the centre of the city but away from the tourist crowds"
"Large, very clean room. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with great shower. Nice toilet products to use. Plentiful, tea, coffee and biscuits provided as well as a small fridge with bottled water.
Attractive restaurant with a good range of menu options. Ate there 2 nights and the food was very good. Some excellent desserts too!
Breakfast was also very good and flexible options.
All of the staff were very polite, helpful and always happy to offer advice on local area. Their breakfast manager was incredibly knowledgeable and even shared info on the best places to park n Winchester and how to get there etc. she was a font of knowledge and had guides galore to share.
Highly recommend a stay in this lovely hotel in a quiet hamlet. There is a 2-3 minute walk to the small pond with ducks and herons if you want a gentle stroll too! "
"An absolutely amazing stay in a brilliant location. A perfect base for a short break, where we enjoyed visits to Bracknell, Stone Henge, Chessington World of Adventures and a lovely visit to nearby Winchester city centre to take in a bit of history and enjoy some fantastic restaurants.
We stayed as a family of four with our two young boys. The accomodation was spacious with all the facilities you need for a home away from home. The hot tub was maintained every day, making it convenient for a quick dip any time we wanted. The putting green was great fun for the whole family.
Modern Smart TV with ability to cast and stream our personal streaming services, and dedicated WiFi for the lodge.
Best UK stay we've had. We'll definitely be back again."
"Excellenece throughout. Richard the host is quite obviously a professional hospitality man... No more to be said other than I would stay at 31 Queens Road again."
