"Hotel was good. It’s a 20 min walk from the main station, but there’s also a free shuttle back and forth! Breakfast was also great. The bed was a little rough, i think an extra pillow could help. But overall it was a great stay!"

"This inn is in a very convenient location- it’s very central. Easy cab or Uber ride from the station, or easy enoigh to take a bus. 5 minutes from Kenrokuen. Be aware this is a Japanese style inn with shared toilet facilities and a shared Japanese style bathroom. The shower / bath is open each evening but not in the morning. The bathroom door does lock so you do have privacy. The innkeeper and family live on site and are very welcoming and friendly. We were allowed to leave our luggage for a short time after check out. They were also helpful witj specific restaurant recommendations. If you want a genuine Japanese ryokan"

"It‘s a bit of the beaten path and not fancy but the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you get a room looking out over the lake you can see Mt Fuji from your bed if it’s not hiding."

"I had a wonderful experience! They staff was so friendly and kind. I enjoyed many activities such as the morning service, yoga, and sutra class. The food was unique, delicious and filling. This is a great place to visit if you want to have a more authentic experience in Japan."
