I've used the hotel several times for work in the past year and my company use this for staff staying in Southend. When you check in they ask for a swipe of a credit card. 6 weeks after my stay I was checking my credit card statement and noticed a £50 charge from Seven. I called them to query this I was told a coffee tray was missing after my stay and they charged me £50 and accused me of stealing it. How dare they, I never even touched the thing. I received no communication regarding the charge and now taking the matter further. Never stay at this hotel unless you want to be accused of being a thief.

A very relaxing atmosphere. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Service was first class. Arrived and started to park in public car park. Staff came to tell us were the hotel car park was located. We had drinks in the bar and asked about dinner. Order taken, and after a while went to find out when dinner would be served and was told we could arrive at anytime when it suited us. Total relaxation. Dinner was delicious, would certainly go back to for the hotel and restaurant. Rooms were well appointed and beds comfortable, slept well.
