"The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. "This is one of the most unique properties we have ever stayed in. Snuggled against the lush mountain side with a spectacular view of the lagoon, the Vanira Lodge is a must if in the Teahupoo area. We stayed here in 2015 and it was magical. We were so excited to be back and it was just as magical as the first time. Merci!"

"The hotel is very nice and rustic. The rooms was clean, staff are friendly. Parking and the road to the hotel was rough and needs repaired. Breakfast was good. Microwaved bagel on the other hand was toughest thing encountered during my stay at the beautiful jungle hotel."

"This is a lovely little spot. Great views over the bay, plenty of space in the room, nice and quiet, and either a 15min walk or very quick taxi ride into town. Patrick and the family that hosts the lodge are very kind and welcoming."
