Thanks to John, who was on-site and provided pliers upon request, we were able to fix our chains and get them onto our car tires for the snowy road conditions the morning of check-out. That’s probably not in his job description, so I appreciate Gondola Lodge going above and beyond. John was super responsive and friendly in person. Thank you!

There are lots of things to like about this studio. It has nice, modern appliances. Outstanding location a block away from the gondola, shops, and restaurants. Close to a large grocery store. Lots of utensils and cleaning supplies in the kitchen. The staff is extremely helpful and quick to respond to my needs. It’s a great policy to have a quiet time after 10:00. No disturbance from neighbors. The problem is there’s too little space. The entryway is too small to remove ski boots and gear without getting the floors all dirty. (The broom and dustpan they provide is not enough.) There’s barely enough space to store one set of skis and boots. There is not enough space to store two. There’s no dresser cabinet. Instead, there’s cubby holes hanging in a closet that are too small for one person’s 6 days of clothes. (They do have washer dryer facilities and have provided detergent.) This leaves insufficient horizontal space for a helmet or wet gloves to dry. The dining table is too small, and it’s hard to navigate the chairs around the sofa bed and ottoman. One suggestion would be to replace the sofa bed and two of the three end tables with a dresser and comfortable chair. This would add horizontal space and free up space in the closet for storage. It would make the table and chairs easier to use. Of course, removing the sofa bed eliminates a sleeping option, but this studio is too small for two skiers or boarders, even if they share the same bed.

Thanks for your feedback, we do have 7 different sized units and room layouts, from the economy studio to a deluxe studio up to a 7 bedroom! Feel free to use the extra sofa sleeper to sit on for boot removal and equipment can be stored for you next to your room. Thanks for your nice words about our location close to gondola, shops, 42 bars and restaurants, casinos, and shows. And yes we remodeled with new appliances, utensils, larger kitchenette, and many extras.

Photos of room are deceiving. The room is MUCH SMALLER than a standard hotel room. There is NO PLACE to store clothing or anything for that matter. The unit relies on fireplace heat making the bathroom FREEZING!

Thanks for your feedback, the control for the bathroom heater is a second wall switch by the bathroom door, the jetted tub has a control next to tub. Photos are completely accurate, not modified, as are the room measurements, and represent each units style options . We have many different sized rooms from our economy studio to deluxe studio all the way up to a 7 bedroom! 2 closets are provided on each side of the fireplace, with additional space adjacent to rooms - just ask managers for assistance with anything that is needed.

A quick follow up to your comments, we do ask and guests agree to allow us to come in at a convenient time to take care of anything unanticipated upon arrival. Ie: if a section of floor needs a touch up.........During big storm days, even during and after cleaning, or if doors are left open, snow etc can blow into some units, especially fresh powdery light snow. We also provide special front doormats to collect snow etc and to wipe off feet..........Rates for the larger units with full kitchens, 4 fireplaces, 4 flatscreen TVs, especially on popular holidays, are always higher in town near the Village, shops, restaurants, bars, and casinos. .........With 4 fireplaces in your unit , the logs in the wood burning fireplace can emit a woodsy mountain cedar and pine scent in the unit. The logs can also emit a small amount of ash which housekeeping is happy to take care of. (But well worth the nice ambience). ...........We do have units available without wood burning fireplaces. We will also have cleaners and inspection team make a better effort to be sure all is in great shape. Thanks for feedback.

Stayed at the Gondola Lodge and it was wonderful. The unit we were in was very nice, warm & cozy with the fireplace. No wait for hot water! The minifridge helped keep our soft drinks cold. There were plenty of channels on tv to watch, which was awesome to see as we winded down for the evening and got ready in the morning. Loved the dimming lights and that the entire complex was a noise free zone. We got lots of rest and enjoyed everything nearby because of it's location; in the heart of everything. We felt very safe and overall the lodge was impressive. Thanks to Jennifer for the ease of communication and access. I definitely recommend this place, even to picky folk.

Depending on weather, the Gondola tram at the Village could be on a delayed start. There is a free shuttle from the Village area to the California side as an additional option. Also our pool is seasonal, and closed winters.

We stayed three nights in a two bedroom suite. Perfect location, rooms were clean and comfortable. Touch less checkin checkout was very convenient. You can rent ski equipment next door and board the gondola across the road to go up the mountain. Everything you need for a ski trip is here.

So sorry for any checkin confusion. We were able to upgrade you to a larger available room with larger kitchen, king bed, and back yard but the upgrade notification had an apparent issue with the transmission/receipt. Has never happened before. Again, we are very sorry for any confusion, glad you were still able to access with correct new room and security gate codes.

The apartment was clean and had all the appliances and amenities to make our stay very comfortable. Storage was a bit limited, especially for skis, boots and boards. Fairly close to the Heavenly Gondola, but still a pretty good walk in ski boots. Close to all the shops and restaurants in Heavenly village. Overall a Very nice place to stay for a ski holiday.

Thank you. Yes great location. Nice short walk to about everything including gondola and Village. There is extra storage under beds due to the lifters, plus locking ski and board storage in central POD dining area. We have 7 different sized units depending on group size. Thank you.
