Host is very nice.but didn't like that this small B@Bl is in an isolated place , nothing to do in or around hotel.. too boring. I was taken to see my room and I left to my car and did not return. even though I didn't stay not even 1 night I didn't care to lose the $414 that I paid. they have a no refund policy.if you want to have fun don't stay here,if you want peace and quiet stay here.

Hola. As Edwin states: "he didn't stay". Problem was Edwin was looking for prostitution out his front door (or how he put it "fun"). If Edwin had read anything about our property, prior to making a non-refundable reservation, he would have known we are NOT downtown. We are in a quiet, secure, lovely garden area away from the noise and unfortunate local women who must sell sex in order to survive in this poor and beautiful country. Please do not stay with us if this is your reason for visiting this amazing country. Edwin. I understand that sex is important to you and finding satisfaction with young women who don't speak your language is a choice you have made. However, in the future perhaps you should research where you are staying before booking.Thank you for your review

Hostess was very friendly and the property was very clean. Water pressure was a little low and the water was not quite hot but doable. I did not like being woke up every morning at 730 to the barking dog that stayed on the property but this was an amazing stay with excellent value. Positives out weigh any negatives. This property is definitely a repeat stay

Beautiful property hosted by the lovely Nikki, includes access to a barbecue, daily breakfast and self serve bar. The pool amd one block walk to the beach are a big plus also. You wont regret booking a stay here!

Beautiful property 5 min (or less) walking distance to Playa Laguna beach. Daily optional breakfast is delicious, and honor bar is very convenient. Hostess is very helpful with suggestions for activities and lining up taxi if needed. I wouldn't stay anywhere else after staying at this gem!

If you want a place that looks nice, peaceful and away from the city population. Then you've got a winner. Everything is as you see in the pictures. The only downside is being a bit far away unless you have transportation.

Property is small, but owner, staff, and pets are really friendly and make you feel at home. It's a quiet area, and walking distance from the beach, but an easy spot to get into/out of for trips to Sosua center or Cabarete etc. Property is well maintained as well and despite lots of guests never felt full, loud or overwhelming. Planning to return to Sosua later this year and will almost definitely stay here.

Simply put, this place is amazing! From the moment you walk through the doors, the host Nicki makes sure you feel right at home (she’s awesome!). Great host, beautiful property, onsite parking, great wifi, great breakfast (extra cost), gated community, total relaxation... What’s not to like? I wouldn’t dare stay anywhere else when I am in Sosua. Just got back and already looking forward to returning soon! Thank you Nicki for such an amazing experience!

Habitación muy pequeña. La piscina tenía una cantidad extremadamente alta de cloro, lo que hacía que fuera incómodo nadar. Los anfitriones le ofrecen un bar de autoservicio, pero debe lavar la licuadora, los vasos tienen que pedir hielo, hacer su propia bebida y luego lavar todo y vuelve a ponerlo en su lugar y luego te llevas una sorpresa cuando te vas cuando ella te cobra 20 dólares estadounidenses por una bebida diciéndote que los precios estaban en la pared pero no los ves por ningún lado un abogado estadounidense que decidió retirarse y aprovecharse de turistas viajeros

Thank you for your review. We strive to make everyone's experience a pleasure. I'm sorry your Dominican "girlfriend" (young enough to be your granddaughter) did not enjoy yourself. Perhaps it was the late night drinking where she left with the key to the room requiring you to wake me at 2 am to open the room for you or the obvious disdain you had for this amazing country. Perhaps if you put the bottle down and found a women more your age you would have been a happier person. You are correct, we do have an open bar policy. Most guests enjoy the fact that we have the bar available to them for their use. The prices are posted in the room and on the wall in the bar area. Sometimes it is difficult to read or notice anything when you have been drinking. However, charging $20 for two margaritas where you used high end tequila and triple sec and made a FULL blender of the drinks seems quite reasonable if you knew anything about the costs associated with the the ingredients. I truly hope you can find happiness somewhere. Take care of yourself.

This place is a gem. I was on a work vacation where I had to work from my laptop and phone in the mornings. This place was perfect, it was quiet, and the WiFi was great for me to do several Zoom calls. My room was immaculate. Everything was new and in perfect working order. The owner and staff are amazing. I loved my stay here.

The owner,Nikki, is a wonderful hostess. You feel like a guest in her house. She and her staff make this place special, and she seems to enjoy her role. Also, breakfast is offered for an extra charge, but it is very good and different every day. My wife and I came with our dog, and the dog was welcomed as well.

Garden by the Sea is a pure gem! Just a 2 mins walk away from a stunning beach, (the sunsets are amazing!) I absolutely loved my time there!! My room was gorgeous, the property is so beautiful, Nikki is so incredibly accommodating, so lovely, charming and professional. I fell in love with the house dog Linda, what a gorgeous dog!!! She’s so friendly, to all my fellow dog lovers, you’ll melt when you meet her! Me and my family loved how private the property was, especially during these unprecedented times. It’s better to stay in places like this where you limit your interaction with people. The property is in a great part of Sosúa, so much to do and so much to see. Overall I’m dying to go back, wish we could have stayed longer. I can’t wait for our next visit. Would highly recommend!!!

My wife and I were looking for a small quiet little get away in the DR; we could not have asked for more! Nikki, the owner is kind and sweet and does her very best to accommodate her guests. Everything was impeccably clean; the mattress was very comfortable, quiet air conditioning and a relaxing environment. You'll find a nice little secluded beach a mere 2 minute walk from the pool. It is very safe and no one bothered us. It has no chairs for sitting down so bring towels if you want to laze around, but we thoroughly enjoyed its more abandoned or secluded feel. The complex is equipped with a gaz and charcoal bbq and each room has its own little fridge so you can store some food and drinks. Nikki has received certification for her water; I drank it, it tasted fresh and I wasn't sick, but if you'd rather bring your own water you can also do that. If you're looking for the all included high volume beach resort, this is not the place for you; however if you're looking for a nice quiet B&B experience down south and you enjoy making your own food or going out to restaurants then you'll be hard pressed to find a better place than Garden by the Sea. I thought this was last trip to RD, but after finding this little jewel I'm very tempted to book another trip soon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This property is in a safe, quiet area with 24 hour security. It is located just a short 5-minute walk from a semi-private beach. The staff and host are amazingly warm and accommodating. Rooms are clean and cozy, with free WiFi , a/c and cable tv. I’ve stayed here three times and I’m looking forward to my fourth visit real soon! Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!
