This was a definite Experience!!! The Inn was beautifully curated in furnishings of the 1920’s. It felt like stepping back in time. Breakfast was incredible. The host not only provided a perfectly presented gourmet breakfast but also gave an interesting history of the Inn. The property is far enough up the hill to be away from the noise of the Main Street but close enough to all of the eclectic little shops and dining options. This will most definitely be a stay we will repeat and recommend for years to come.

The building is beautiful, both inside and out. Rooms are decorated with an eye for luxury and a historical flair. The owner is full of stories about the building and the area around Sonora. Food was fantastic and beautifully prepared and presented. We will be back!
Amazing, specially prepared gourmet breakfasts by the host. Very fun to sit at breakfast table with other guests. The breakfast is served at 9 am so you can't just grab it and go if you're there for sightseeing. But the food is wonderful! Interesting history behind the house which the host shares. Beautiful rooms.
Such wonderful hosts, very accommodating when we had to move breakfast up an hour for us and our friends. This property is gorgeous and also has friendly cats roaming around. We had wedding photos taken here and they turned out gorgeous! Love this place!
We booked here as we visited Columbia to see The Wizard of Oz production and Sonora seemed like a great option. the Inn was beyond expectations. Host was fabulous, food was delicious, service and staff excellent. We have stayed all over the world and this was by far a place we would Highly recommend.
Beautiful property and lovely historic house. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud with feather soft pillows and towels were fluffy. Breakfast was delicious in an amazing setting! We will be back.
Rhonda has a passion for the homes design and her breakfasts are a work of art! The rooms are clean and the little touches such as candy by the bed with a vintage water caraffe and snacks in the hall and coffee room.we were seranfed
I am not a breakfast eater but the meal was was an event you don't want to miss. The food was wonderful and everything was served on fine china, silver and crystal. Rhonda makes you feel welcomed in this lovely Bed & Breakfast. I recommended it very highly.
Amazing experience! Best breakfast we ever had at any hotel. Great family stay (we stayed with our kids). Hosts Rhonda and Fred are also amazing and so nice. Will come definitely back very soon!
Beautiful property. Wonderful hospitality. It is a step back into history when guests are graciously received. This is more of an experience than an opportunity for a good night's rest. The morning breakfast is divine. A definite must when you visit Sonora.
We stayed at the Inn on Knowles Hill for one night, it was a perfect weekend getaway location. It’s a beautiful historic place in the center of Sonora. Both inside and outside the entire experience gave us flashbacks to another age. The house is in an amazing spot, located atop of a hill, but still in a walking distance to the downtown. Rhonda is an amazing host, we felt very welcomed and had a delicious breakfast. This was the best B&B experience we’ve had so far, highly recommended!
We loved our stay. The breakfast was sublime. This is a value for a B&B in an historic location. They even have some outdoor cats and a couple ducks for furred and feather vacation friends.
We'll be back!
This is a unique property. It’s a short walk down the hill to the historic downtown of Sonora. There are large sitting rooms that we were able to use during the day and in the evening. So much more comfortable than a traditional hotel. Wonderful breakfasts included. The furniture and decor are over-the-top late Victorian, but that’s part of the charm.
The Inn is beautiful. The room was very romantic with a luxurious feel. Some of the rest of the property could of used a wipe down. The sun room had spider webs on the seats and the outdoor tables hadn't been wiped clean. Regardless of these observations, the property is beautiful with a very calm, and peaceful vibe.
The unfortunate part of the stay was the rudeness of 1 set of guests that made a point to say the were regulars on several occassions. They walked around liked they owned the place with lack of consideration for other guests. They chain smoked right outside the front door so you couldn't even exit without having to smell their cigarettes. I was on a mini honeymoon and wanted a quiet, romantic evening with my new husband and was forced to listen to these guests go up and down the stairs to go outside to chain smoke. The front door has a pin pad lock so every 20 minutes when they came back inside, we had to listen to the loud mechanism of the pin pad that unlocked the front door, as our room was the one on the first floor.
There was romantic music playing in the front living room all night, which I found lovely. I really enjoyed a quiet moment here, sharing chocolate covered strawberries with my husband while wearing the complimentary terry cloth robes - until those rude guests appeared again to smoke. Ugh!
Let's talk about that fantastic gourmet breakfast - WOW! What a great way to start the day. Best morning meal I have every had.
A step back in time. Peaceful - enjoyed the cats too & the breakfast was amazing! Rhonda is an incredible chef! & very personable & fun to visit with !
Loved this B&B. The host was so inviting. The house was beautiful. Bed was comfortable and the room was large. Breakfast was delicious and the story of the house and its furnishings is one I’ll never forget. If you’re hesitant just book it, you won’t regret it.
