Disliked: Property conditions & facilities, communication
It all started with no communication from the owner on how to access the property. It took 2 texts, one email and 3 calls. After the 3rd call they finally answered. This was around 7 at night. Next, the garbage was over full, something was rotting and it smelled horribly out front where we parked. Could not open the front windows due to the smell. Tried to take a shower in the downstairs shower and there was no cold water to the shower, just boiling hot. We had very little water pressure throughout the house. The only decent working shower was upstairs and it leaked. It leaked down through the kitchen light and onto the kitchen floor. One of our family members found the leak the hard way and slipped. We had to put a towel down to prevent water from puddling in the kitchen. We did finally determine where the water was leaking from and worked to prevent it from leaking. The owner was good at sending in people to try to fix everything but to no avail. The carpet upstairs looked like it was removed at one time and just laid back down. The seams were not sealed, the underlayment was damaged and the floor was lumpy. It was a nice house and with a bit of work would be a place to recommend. It is a 15 minute walk to the trains, lots of places to eat close by and small markets. If you plan to rent I would recommend asking the owner if these issues have been fixed.
