We spent a lovely week at Bondcroft farm with another adult couple and our 2 dogs.
We spent a lovely week at Bondcroft farm with another adult couple and our 2 dogs. The owners are lovely, made us welcome and we had a little chat now and then on our way out or coming in. Very accommodating and even the Husband looked at our car sunroof which decided to open only 1/2 hour into our very long drive from Essex. Clean and comfortable typical farmhouse with the quirkiness you would expect of an older building . Beds lovely and clean and comfy, white fluffy bath sheets were immaculate and huge. Nice secure garden for the dogs, comfy lounge to sit in at night, nice dining room for our meals and a small but well equipped kitchen that had all 4 adults beavering away at times including the dogs! Nice for each bedroom to have their own shower room. If I was to be super picky I would just suggest a trivet to put hot things on as didn’t wasn’t to ruin the worktops, but we did suggest that to the owner during our stay. Problem with water when we arrived as they had a new spring water tank fitted and it was running very thick and discoloured, they sent us a text to warn us on our way and provided an amount of bottled water that lasted us a day or so into our stay when the water then returned to normal. Cottage is situated in a quiet and beautiful spot, lovely view to wake to every day, we were near enough though to Skipton town and not much of a drive if we wanted to go further afield. We really liked it here and the weather was so much better than we had expected, so got use out of the garden to sit in at times.
