"The beds were super comfy, which is exactly what we wanted. Look past the wall paper peeling and enjoy the views of the lake. The food was delicious and the location was central. We used the washer and dryer so that was very convenient. The receptionists were so helpful and kind."

"Beautiful cabin on the lake. Loved the beds they were so comfortable and the sheets were amazing. I actually wrote down the company and will be buying my own set. My husband was thrilled that the refrigerator had worms in it for fishing! We got in late and did not make it to a bait store. Will be coming back"

"This is a perfect place for a couple. Comfortable bed and nice hot water were greatly appreciated. Communication with host Vern went smoothly. Unit is adequately stocked with cooking items. Location is quiet, just behind the fire station. Plenty of parking. Our travel was summertime, so parking could be different with snow on the ground. Close (walkable) to Portage Lake. It is a 10 minute drive to Michigan Tech's campus. If you are eating out, most restaurants will be found in Houghton. Super appreciative that this is a pet-friendly place."

"Our stay at the power station was incomparable. It is such a beautiful setting that no matter what is going on you can sit down with your thoughts and be peaceful. Kristen, our host, was gracious, helpful, and enthusiastic to see to it our stay was as comfortable as possible. It is especially important to us that we were able to bring our dog. Thank you for being a pet friendly location. We would and will go back again and we wholeheartedly recommend this oasis to anyone. We have already recommended to friends and family."
