"What you’d expect for a small mining town, quaint shops, decent eateries, beautiful scenery.The house was not fancy but very comfortable and well equipped, no issues whatsoever getting into the property, cleaner was very friendly. Would definitely recommend for short stays.Very convenient could walk to everything in town and locals were very friendly.Lots to do if you stay a little longer hikes, off roading, train ride to Durango was spectacular, scenic highways etc.There was also a small ski area in the town for winter trips."

"A cool place to utilize as a base camp for your outdoor adventures in the San Juan. A comfortable relaxed environment catering to the hikers, backpackers and travelers. I stayed in both a private room which as well appointed and comfortable and a shared bunk room on my last night of the trip. The shared bunk room was very comfortable and the shared bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries. I really liked the community feeling of the lobby. Met a ton of thru hikers and others who were in the area to enjoy nature."
