The property was clean and comfortable. We loved that we didn't need our vehicle because the gondola provided easy access to town and the hotel shuttle was readily rapid to provide a ride to the gondola.

Staff was respectful. Droppings from Mice in our room in conjunction of mouse traps found in the closet. Furnaces in the rooms were load, sounded belt driven. So we just kept the fire places on instead.

We didn’t stay for long, but whatever we experienced was excellent. Loved the suite, the organization, little touches like great cookies and lemonade in the lobby. The view is spectacular, and the area is very nice. I loved the Village Market 5 mins away. The pool and spa are great. The lodge is expensive during the high season, so I’ll try to come back when the price is lower. Despite this, I didn’t feel ripped off like I did in some other hotels. Great job, Mountain Lodge!

Pros: • Excellent location — 5-minute walk to the market and free gondola • About 10 minutes on foot to the center of Mountain Village • Suite had a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, and a very nice view • Convenient ski access near Double Cabins Cons: • Property feels dated and in need of a major overhaul • Disconnected lodges require walking outside in all weather • Parking policy is inconvenient despite a $45/night fee • Pool and hot tub are impractical in winter due to outdoor access Overall: Mountain Lodge has a strong location and functional suites, but overall it fell short of expectations. While it was helpful as a first stay to learn what we prefer in Mountain Village, we would not choose to stay here again. The property feels close to decline without significant updates. The parking situation was particularly frustrating. I don’t mind paying the nightly fee, but guests aren’t allowed to keep their keys or park outside their villa even when many spaces were clearly available. During our mid-December stay, occupancy was low and the parking lot had plenty of open spots, making the policy feel unnecessary. Additionally, the pool and hot tub were effectively unusable in winter due to the required outdoor walk. Until Mountain Lodge undergoes a complete renovation, I would recommend considering other properties in the area.
