"WORST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE EVERUNSAFE AND UNSECURED with unfettered access throughout the house to anyone staying there!! I was literally robbed of my Rolex. Police report filed but they told me that it was unlikely that I would ever see it again. I knew when I reserved this property that it was “funky” looking, NO frills property but the experience I had could not have been further from just an old-fashioned, kind of quirky, passe’ form of old home. "We drove up to the house, noticing a couple of torn window screens and some rain-soaked paper hanging off the mailbox. We had to ring the doorbell a couple of times before we heard a voice from the intercom. They had difficulty hearing us, asked whether we were staying that day or the next (it was supposed to be both), and then replied, "Oh. Wait a minute." Many minutes passed and no one came to the door. We can only imagine that we caught the host off guard. We double-checked our rental dates....

"House is in need of updating, electrical covers missing, dirty bathrooms "hair " in sinks, showers etc. T.V.'s in all rooms but most didnt work, ants crawling up kitchen cabinets. I could go on but you get the idea. Way overpriced for what it is and i should get money back for a miserable experience."

"Went to visit our son in DC for thanksgiving. We had 8 adults staying and we cooked our thanksgiving dinner together. There was not enough utensils and dishes in cabinet were dirty. There wasn't enough towels, no curtains anywhere so very cold and bright in bedrooms. There were cracks in foundation and the back end of house slanted downward . And there were lots of bugs in basement bedroom. Next time we come to DC to visit we will be staying somewhere else."
