Gorgeous traditional Balinese villa that was beautifully decorated, well maintained, and very clean. Our first visit to Indonesia and Sidemen was our favorite place, So very peaceful and beautiful scenery with the rice fields and surrounded by mountains. Temperatures were much cooler and often a nice breeze blowing - which made sitting on the open living area quite comfortable and enjoyable.
We were in a Basic Villa - unit #6 - which had a outside sitting area but also an enclosed inside living room and kitchen with two large sliding glass doors to the outside. I personally preferred having the inside LR versus the other villas which had a large totally open LR and kitchen. Our villa had 2 large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms in each - just one had a SmartTV. Only the bedrooms had air conditioning but the inside LR was comfortable as some of the bedroom AC air leaked thru the sliding doors.
Our villa was the closest to the hotel lobby - so everyone walked pass but not bothersome given the small size of the resort. What was very bothersome was that the restaurant located directly above our unit had loud music nightly from about 7 to 10 pm - very loud that you couldn't hear yourself think! I did hate the loud music but the front desk receptionist warned us at checkin. It was the only negative thing about the resort.
The staff were great - so helpful and friendly. Pool was relaxing, but the 10 straw loungers were uncomfortable. Truly loved the resort.
