"The entire experience surpassed our expectations. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. Our room with the private onsen was definitely worth it. The staff was very attentive. "
"Great stay in Lake Toya area! Hide was very kind and met us right at our agreed upon arrival time. The house was clean and well maintained with lots of amenities including AC, laundry, and drying racks. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back!"
"Staff and accommodations very nice. Free laundry.
Only confusion was check in and line up for food in same door. Stayed in food line for short bit and then asked for check in. Even though very busy a staff showed us everything. "
"As nice as the owner and family are, I can't really recommend this place. Location is 2km out of town so you must have a car. Location is very quiet at night but in the hotel room you can hear water running from toilets etc in other rooms and people walking on the floor above. And I had some sort of tapping sound in my room early in the morning on the second night which made it hard to sleep.
There is a fridge and hot water urn in the room, but no tea or coffee (lucky I had my own)and only...
"The location is in the opposite side of Toyako Onsen, and there are very few óptions of public transportation, good if you have a car. The Park in front in the Lake is nice. "
"One air conditioner is not enough for summer time. It’s very hot at night and tgere are many bugs at the 1st floor. Lastly the mattress is too soft and we can’t sleep well.
But the view is fantastic."
"It's a log cabin which is unique in nature. There were 2 types of beds which are good for children and adults.
The pool table created a fun time for the family"
"Beautiful hotel with picturesque outdoor baths and variety of indoor baths and sauna. Huge buffet for breakfast and dinner with variety of Asian food and some western choices."

"The log cabin lodge is run by Sasaki San and his mum. Lovely people.
The place was clean and very quiet. All we heard were the birds and great view of the lake. Sunset made the island shine and a rainbow to appear.
Since the cabin is surrounded by nature, just keep the insect screens in place when the verandah doors are open and all is good.
We took the meal package as it was well rated. It was more than we expected. The steak was surely the highlight - juicy and tender. Best I’ve had so far - local A5. The corn soup was made with just farm bought corn that morning and local milk - the natural sweetness came through with no added sugar. Attention to fresh ingredients is amazing.
It was a lovely stay, highly recommended if you want to experience staying in a log cabin. "

The Windsor Hotel Toya, Vignette Collection by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Nice 5 star hotel. The service and staff is top notch. The views are spectacular. Great place to retreat to and relax. We stayed here for 1 night in our trip through Hokkaido.
My only issue was at check in. We were required to make the dinner reservations and meal selection at the front desk. And not everything we wanted was available to us. So it was very awkward experience in my opinion. I don’t know if I made a mistake not reserving the restaurants in advance but it is hard to know what you want for dinner up to 7 months in advance. Maybe it was just better to order room service. "
