"Room is clean and nice, I imagine novotel would be at least higher standard than ibis in the same building. However I found out the 24 hr CU mart is at ibis side. A long way to walk from Novotel. And it’s abit inconvenient that toilet lights are bundled together with bathrooms. There’s no night light for me to turn on and once off the main lights, all lights will be off. If there’s a Reno in the future, I’d strongly recommend to install some night lights for guest. In majority it’s a very nice and comfortable stay. Staff were helpful and rooms are very clean. As well as it’s right next to station! Super convenient!!!"

"Very well-run hotel. Also very convenient. Close to Gongdeok Subway Station (not recommended for Senior travelers). Taxis (recommended mode of transportation for Senior travelers). are very affordable and you can use the Uber app in Seoul. The BEST way is to have the Glad Mapo hotel staff arrange the taxi to your destination. They will inform you of the taxi cost in Korean won. The staff arranged the airport transfer (large van for 4-adults & 5-suitcases for 100,000 Korean won (about $75 USD). They informed us to wait on the comfortable sofas in the 9F Lobby and that the driver will meet us!"

"This hotel is perfectly located. Not too far away from the tourist areas but far enough away to offer a quiet stay! Breakfast options at the hotel were very limited and there was not much storage for clothes in the room but they were the only downsides! The room was beautiful and a perfect size, the in room safe was very small and could only fit passports and money, not laptops or valuables of a similar size. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Be mindful that the hotel is near to Seoul station so you can hear the trains sometimes, but earplugs are available for free at the front desk if needed. We didn’t seem to hear the trains that much so we found it perfect."
