"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was too soft for my liking and I found it uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a nice room.
The hotel is a little run down in places but it has a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy.
The staff were friendly.
Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection of food. We did have to wait for food to be replenished which was a bit disappointing."

"One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in, in Southampton. Very smart comfortable room, bed and bathroom. If I had to fault it at all, it would be the 6 capacity lifts that quite often won’t take more than 3 reasonable sized people. And one of those lifts not servicing the ground floor. "

The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"We had booked two overnight stays at the start and end of a cruise. While on bith occasions we arrived at the hotel well ahead of normal check-in time, we only had to wait a short time until our room was available. This was very good as it was tiring after a long journey.
The hotel is convenient for cruising from Southampton as it is only a short distance to the ferry terminal, but the hotel provided a complimentary transfer on the embarkation day.
However, it at £229 for an overnight stay it is not cheap with breakfast additional. WE didn't have dinner at the hotel, so can't comment, but did have drinks in the bar on our second stay. Not cheap there either, but staff helpful and friendly."
