Enjoy your meals at the adjacent dining table, or step outside onto the large back deck to cook on the gas grill and dine with views of the surrounding evergreen forest. Inside, cozy up by the gas fireplace in the ground-floor living room, or head upstairs to the media room for streaming, DVDs, or a game of pool. For those feeling creative, there’s also a craft room stocked with supplies.

The Neighborhood:
The East Village of Shaver Lake is a charming and scenic area located near the lake, offering a more tranquil, rustic atmosphere compared to the main village. Nestled among towering pine trees, it provides a peaceful retreat with easy access to outdoor recreation and natural beauty. The village is home to cozy cabins and a few local businesses, including a bar, cafes, and seasonal restaurants.
East Village is ideally situated for those seeking outdoor adventure, especially during the summer and winter months. In the warmer season, visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, and hiking, with Shaver Lake being a popular destination for water sports. The surrounding Sierra National Forest offers numerous trails for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.
In winter, East Village becomes a peaceful gateway to nearby snow sports, with close access to the China Peak Mountain Resort for skiing and snowboarding. The area retains a more relaxed, residential vibe, making it a great choice for those looking to escape the more crowded areas while still being close to the lake and outdoor activities.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. It was spotless, incredibly cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Most places look better in photos than they do in real life—but this cabin was even better than the pictures. It was spacious, very unique, and truly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home.We also really appreciated how dog-friendly it was, especially the enclosed deck, which was perfect for our pup. We would absolutely stay here again!
The cabin was very family friendly. I love the space for the kids upstairs. They had a great time shooting some pool. The back deck was a great spot to hang out, barbecue, and spend time together as a family. We all fit out there just fine. I would love to stay here again.
We had a great time in Shaver and took the kids to China Peak each day. The house is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The separate upstairs rec room with the pool table was really nice for the kids along with the upstairs bedrooms
My family and I rented this cabin for Fourth of July weekend and it was perfect for us! The location is great. Close enough to walk into town or down to the lake. The cabin itself is just as pictured and it's very clean. We spent majority of our time on the back deck overlooking the meadow. The deck could definitely be de-webbed and sprayed down as it was pretty dusty and covered in spider webs. That was really our only complaint! Overall, great place to stay. We'll be back!
Our family absolutely loved this cabin! Super clean and well appointed, adorably decorated, and tons of sweet extras to keep the little ones busy (books for bedtime, crafts, games, movies, TVs with streaming, and a pool table!). The huge open space in the back was awesome for exploring. And the proximity to town for food and necessities can’t be beat. Quiet street. The host, Amanda, was super responsive, very friendly and helpful. This cabin is well loved and cared for. We will definitely be back again!!

Everything was great and ready for us when we arrived. Amanda was very helpful and welcoming. Beautiful cabin.
Loved the quiet this time of year. Property backs up to forest and enjoyed our visit with 3 buck deers munching down behind the deck one evening!! Everything you need for a lovely getaway!
We had a great stay in the cabin! The place was well-stocked with household supplies, fans, and everything we needed indoors. It was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. The only thing missing was some lake gear—like chairs or other items—to enjoy the waterfront more easily. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful getaway.
This cabin was so nice and fully equipped!! Couldn’t be happier with its cleanliness, location and size. The game room was amazing with a pool table, games and hundreds of DVD’s. It even had a craft room. The deck/patio was great for outdoor cooking and eating.
We enjoyed our visit & family time. Proximity to the lake & stores & eateries was good, neighborhood very nice. We were disappointed that the home wasn’t as clean as we were expecting, dirt on the floors & staircase, as well as excessive cobwebs. It should be known that the back bedroom is inaccessible except by going through the upstairs ‘family’ bedroom. We did enjoy the upstairs game room, craft room & all the kid friendly amenities & all the beds were quite comfortable.
