The accommodation itself was spotless, comfortable and beautifully presented with everything we could possibly need.Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy our stay fully as we had to leave the island earlier than planned due to Storm Amy and ferry cancellations. "Riverview Cottage is a well maintained, cozy, and well-equipped cottage. We spent a week here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The separate washer and dryer made it easy to catch up with the laundry after a bit of traveling. Located 5 minutes from the Calanais Standing Stones, the cottage is conveniently located to other attractions on the west coast of Harris. While we would recommend doing any major provisioning in Stornoway, the Carloway Community store is only about an 8 minute drive away should you run out of milk or bread. Stornoway itself is an easy 30 minute drive away. We would definitely consider staying at this property again if we returned to Lewis & Harris. "

"The house is lovely and comfortable. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and living space. Very quiet location and so nice to have a washer & dryer. The hosts, Jan & Colum, were easy to reach and very friendly. We were welcomed with a wee Scottish breakfast in the refrigerator when we arrived. Would definitely recommend! "
