"Very pleasant stay. Staff were exceptionally attentive. Both our room and kids (teens) room were very comfortable and the food was great. Kids enjoyed the amenities. We especially appreciated Faye who drove us to several places and provided great guidance, and helped with crossing the border. Also Sarr who shared some invigorating tea. Next time we’ll stay longer and go fishing! "

"We loved the Ecolodge de Simal. It's really off the beaten track (quite literally so), but once you get there, the location is wonderful: right on the water. We were there for three nights. The food was plentiful, fresh, and tasty; the free activities (like a excursion en pirogue) was wonderful; the pool is chlorinated and clean; the rooms are rustic with open air bathrooms and toilets, but comfortable; the housekeeping good; the bar/restaurant staff friendly. It's not a "luxury"...

"In August we booked for a 3 night stay in November as part of our honeymoon tour of SEnegal. We booked and paid for a superior double bungalow. On arrival they had no record of our booking but I was able to verify booking by showing my booking details and receipt on my phone. They told us that we could have the booked room for one night only as it was booked for someone else for the second two nights. "This was a rustic lodge on an island off the coast from Missirah. Despite challenges finding the boat launch and getting the pirogue to take us to the lodge, we had a good stay. The hostess, Kiki, was warm and inviting. The property felt a bit tired (I think many properties in rural Senegal have this from the lack of tourists during the pandemic restrictions), the place had a number of activities to try. "Great space! Very clean and very great location. Gabriel was incredibly helpful with getting us a guide for a tour, Charles, who was also great! Hotel staff was helpful in showing us places to go in the area to eat/explore. Staff very friendly and willing to help with solving any problems with transportation, etc that arrived during our stay.
