"The hospitality of Nori-san, Chie, and their family made our stay so enjoyable. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort and shared wonderful details about their beautiful, nutritious, farm-to-table meals. We even got to tour their farm, learn about rice planting, and spot a precious firefly. The house is bright and clean, overlooking rice paddies, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. "Warm bedroom and reliable hot water for showering in winter. Good for a night in Kakunodate, or more. Breakfast (if purchased when booking) was served in the guesthouse's Italian restaurant just beside. Thin walls though the other guests were considerate to minimise noise during my stay. The owner, Eiko, is a very easygoing and friendly lady. I regret I had to leave."
