Enjoyable family friendly atmosphere. Great natural surroundings, including Tazawa Lake. Short drive from some other sites including Kakunodate’s Samurai District.
Love the staff. They tried their best to speak English, and are extremely friendly. We got a few things from the souvenir shop, which was great to bring as gifts for friends and family. The room was spacious. I book a remodeled room but the bathroom seemed a bit outdated. The food was fine for what they had. The relaxation room was great with free ice cream, soda and tea. Overall I am satisfied with my stay.
Excellent services and facilities. The room was so nice that separated into 2 parts western for bed and Japanese for tv /relax.
Many-choices buffet and traditional show.
The hotel was close to a shrine on a hill. There was a gateball course on the hill at the back of the property. The only drawback was that we did not have a car and had to rely on the hotel shuttle service to go to town and elsewhere. The hotel had a nice onsen and delicious breakfast which included Japanese and western foods.
Better place than expected. Some tourists from abroad talked very loudly in public space, which made my stay a bit uncomfortable but this is not due to the hotel itself.

Very good and quiet place but a car is needed.
Have been using this hotel 2-3 times a year so the ratings are the same. Food is very good so as the hot springs. Unfortunately, we didn't get a room in the main building we enjoyed during the past 6 years. The front desk said they were full that night but the parking lot was much more than half empty and guests taking the hotel shuttle from the train station is apparently one digit a day.
The hotel room is comfortable, the dinner is good. But the hotel shuttle bus is not flexible. When we arrived at the hotel around 1:00pm and there's not shuttle bus to the station. Finally, we had to take a taxi.
👍 Nice onsen and good buffet dinner
👎 Inflexible on issuance of additional room key. There was six of us in one studio room but was only given two keys.
