The Crosskeys Inn is a perfect example of a local pub providing accomodations to a very high standard while remaining true to its original purpose as a village pub. Very clean, food was excellent, friendly staff and folk music in the bar, it's hard to see how they can improve.
The hotel is in a stunning little village, very quite. The hotel was very well set up, good access, clean and great views. The Room was excellent, clean, and importantly very comfortable. The food was outstanding, and a cracking breakfast.
Great place to stay, Warm welcome from the owner very knowledgeable of the area, Fantastic choices food and beers. Great location for walking cycling camping
Loved this quaint and cute in! The staff was so friendly and the food was great! This was one of our favorite places to stay on our 10 day Scotland trip!
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The room was very clean and comfortable. Both evening meals and breakfast were superb and all this was topped off by staff who were exceptional and very attentive.
It’s a lovely, quaint place. It was quite remote but that’s just the way we like it.
The rooms were immaculate, extremely modern and tastefully decorated.
A traditional style wee bar which added to our experience. The food was great: staff were superb being both friendly and attentive.
I will return when in the Borders.
Ps the locals who were in the pub added to a great atmosphere.
Wonderful stay.
Lovely accommodation in a picturesque village in the Scottish Borders. Quiet, comfortable, excellent food and personal service. Nothing was too much trouble.
Mattress in the room was a little shaped and could do with replacing, otherwise the stay was excellent. Thoroughly recommended for the food and service alone!
The best thing about this place (and everything was excellent) were the staff who could not do enough to accommodate us and our two dogs. From making the booking, to finding a table to eat on a busy Friday night. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Food was top notch with myself having beef bourguignon and partner having kedgeree. Both very tasty. Room was clean and bed was comfortable with enough room for our two staffies. We were just passing and it was a convenient place for us to break up our journey, but if you like to go walking and cycling there are good treks and roads nearby.
We had two nights at the Cross Keys. It’s a very relaxing place. The food was delicious and all the staff very pleasant and helpful. Communication between us and the pub very good. Only issue for us was having a room without a shower but otherwise the rooms were lovely.
Will definitely stay again.
Like ‘home from home’ with an effortless boutique-chic feel that was authentically relaxing and homely.
Staff are super welcoming and friendly. Went above and beyond on every level.
Thanks to the manager Danielle and her team for a great stay. I’ll be returning as soon as I can:)
The owners were very welcoming. Couple of very small issues at dinner forgetting our side and giving us the wrong ice cream with dessert but they were lovely and accommodating and offered us replacement ice cream. Food was tasty and fresh. Room was spotless and cosy
