"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."
"Quite a unique experience with traditional Japanese furniture and room layout. The owner clearly put a lot of thoughts in building out this hotel by integrating modern appliances into traditional Japanese house architecture. Beautifully decorated garden. Staff were super helpful."
"A great hotel. It is modern, comfortable, clean, quiet, and in a great location. The service is among the best we have had anywhere, better than hotels that cost twice as much. Every member of the staff that we encountered was amazing. The restaurant and restaurant staff is also terrific. "
"Beautiful hotel with Japanese garden connected to the room. Matcha room has private outdoor soaking tub over looking garden. Very zen atmosphere! 15 minute cab ride from Kyoto station in local neighborhood."
"The staff are so kind and helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms thoughtfully designed. When I return to Kyoto I will return to this hotel!"

"Located only a couple of blocks from the main train station, this hotel was a great pick. Incredibly clean as you must take your shoes off at the entrance and roll your luggage through water before entering the lobby, and your room. The variety of hot springs baths you can choose from and the extras, such as evening noodles, ice creams and massage chairs make this a great place for families to stay. There are a number of reasonably priced restaurants nearby along with a token Don Quijote just down the street. Also on the same road as public buses 205 and 206 which take you to the tourist attractions such as the golden Pavillon. "
"Rakuro Hotel in Kyoto
We loved the hotel concept of fawn. There are beautiful plants and beautiful atmosphere in the lobby and guest lounge, featuring herb water with ice for the guests. The room was nice but not too spacious for a larger family. It was equipped with a mini fridge and kettle. Windows brought light to the room but no views, so it felt somewhat enclosed. The bathroom was very spacious and nice, with a separate toilet stall. The toilet/bathing spaces are separate from the room itself but still private within an overall enclosure. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, eateries and convenience stores and the staff is very helpful and friendly."
