"The staff were nice and the full English breakfast was good. The hotel is undergoing renovation - I'm sure it will be lovely when it's done but right now it's noisy with dark, very basic rooms."
"Great staff who made us feel really welcome. Really nice showers in the room we had and was great value. We paid for the executive room and beds were really comfortable."
"Property was perfect and as described.
Central for everything! Food, transport links, plenty of parking. Well equipped!!
And proper teabags for a decent brew. "
"The Little Haven Hotel next to the beach in South Shields is clean and quiet. The High Street, Metro, and North Shields Ferry are within easy walking distance. The cost of our stay included breakfast. The variety of food options was good."
"The property was located in a quiet picturesque setting, greeted and supported very professionally by the owner. A very spacious, well appointed property.
Fantastic location a mere 5 minute drive to Newcastle airport, yet off the flight path so slept perfectly. "

"Superb position, you can hear the waves crashing as you leave the hotel, with stunning views across the road. Even dived in the inviting looking North Sea, which is invigorating! Parking is limited, but is free after 6pm at a large carpark a short stroll away. Excellent cooked breakfast from 6:30 to 10am which suited my fine - really friendly staff; even asked if I needed anything for my room each day which was a lovely touch. Room in need of a bit of decorating, but was very clean and provided everything I needed including tea/coffee making facility. Very good fish and chip shop nearby but look out for the starlings - they're actually very sweet! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Whitley Bay! "
Bella's Beach House - less than 100m from the seafront in Whitley Bay!
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely located 1930s house within easy walk of the fabulous beach. Comfortable bed in huge bay windowed upstairs room.Downstairs front bay windowed bedroom would make a lovely second reception/living room as back room is quite small with dining table in there along with L-shaped sofa and TV etc. There was a lot of personal food and toiletries left in the house, which was unusual, made it feel like you were staying in someone’s home rather than a rental.Hosts (Nick & Rodica) were lovely and accommodating and extended our last day until 1pm, which meant we had a nice relaxing morning on our last day. Many thanks! "
"Somehow the caravan I booked was double booked, but the host was able to put us up in another van. She was very responsive and worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. I can’t give full marks for accuracy of listing as I stayed in a completely different place, but it was fine. Location was perfect. The van we were in was very close to the road and people seem to treat that stretch of the road as a racetrack, which was quite loud at night. Aside from that all was great. "
