"The rooms are pretty small, smaller than most rooms I've stayed in. It's an older Motel 6 type facility with external entrances as opposed to internal hallways found in most modern hotels. However, the grounds are modernized, and the upgrades to the property are very upscale. If it was once a Motel 6, it is by far the nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in... "

"The hotel is new and nicely appointed. But terribly loud- the outdoor club next door was absurdly loud until past 11pm on a Sunday evening, and THUDS of heavy weights from the gym at 6:30am over and over again. I could not sleep in this hotel. And then, zero (I mean zero) water pressure. I couldn’t even wash my hair, it was a trickle. There would have been no chance of getting shampoo out. Finally, I thought this was walking distance to the shops and restaurants at fashion island. If you want to walk a busy road and cross huge intersections, I guess you could. But my uber driver told me not to risk it. "

"The staff were wonderful, especially Dominic! But, after that.........Our room alarm clock was already set to 6am and went off the first morning. This happened in our friend's room too. Then the elevator, which is so slow to begin with, got stuck with our friend inside. Night number 2, the fire alarm went off at 4:30am and was a false alarm. Night number 3, the fire alarm went off at 12:45am and again, was a false alarm. So I can say that for the 3 nights we were there, we didn't get one good night's sleep at all. And to top it off, the water pressure for the shower is very low. The location of the hotel is great as Old Towne Scottsdale is a short walk away. I just wish Hyatt would spend the money on the actual hotel as it could be so great!"
