"The room was old, tired and not very clean (bedding was clean but floors and furnishings not so). The room is located in a residential alley high above the beach and port. There are many stairs to get to the beach and it is a hard climb getting back uphill. Took us 40 minutes round trip just walking. The only redeeming aspect was the glorious location for breakfast. "Stayed here for almost two weeks and couldn’t have picked a better spot. Villa Princi was clean, quiet, and really comfortable. Easy to get around and in a great location for exploring both Calabria and Sicily. I actually spent the first 5 days driving around Sicily. The host was incredibly helpful. She gave me dining tips, pointed me to legit olive oil spots, and had some nice pastries and even some eggs if requested. Breakfast was perfect for me. This was my home base while I bounced around the region chasing pasta, wine, peppers, and granita. It felt like staying at a friend’s place, not some cookie-cutter rental. If you want something peaceful, local, and convenient, this place just works. Perfect place if you just need a room to sleep, shower, and have breakfast. I’d stay again without hesitation (and probably will). Scilla was my favorite and it was only 20 minutes away. Reggio is also just 20 minutes away."

"We were travelling from Syracuse to Milan and had a 7 hour stopover waiting for the night train from San Giovanni. This was a perfect haven being 10 minutes walk from the station/ ferry terminal which allowed us to get a shower and a few hours sleep. Friendly and helpful staff allowed an early check in. Room was air conditioned and comfortable and the shower was large and hot"

"Got back from the Bagnara two days ago and had the most wonderful stay at Victoria Grand Hotel. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help and make my stay enjoyable. The hotels restaurant serves one of the best pasta dishes. A big shout out to Mirium and Perier who most helpful. The general manager Frank was amazing. He went out of his way to take us round the island and show us all the lovely spots. Had the most awesome stay and would recommend. Thank you to Frank, Mirium, Perier and all the staff working at the hotel. "

"We got our confirmation and access codes very quick. I am so thankful that they were able to communicate with me in English. They were very patient and kind. Our room was very clean and came with bath amenities including slippers and bottles of water! The memory foam top bed is amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was also great- fresh croissants, ham, salami, amazing yogurt with yummy granola. Margaret made us fresh cappuccino and espresso. The apartment is a comfortable walking distance from the train stop. We highly recommend this place."
