This was our first visit to this part of North Yorkshire.
This was our first visit to this part of North Yorkshire. What a surprise, the cottage was very well equipped, very clean, comfortable, and ideal for touring the North Yorkshire Area. It was a very relaxing holiday, home from home. Thank you very much for our pleasant stay, and look forward to our next visit.

If you want to escape from it all and be surrounded by nature this is an excellent location.
If you want to escape from it all and be surrounded by nature this is an excellent location. If you want to be able to pop to the shops or have a meal out close by then it's not the place for you. The accommodation was very comfortable and relaxing. Despite comments about WiFi being limited we found it to be consistently available throughout the accommodation. The only thing lowering the equipment score was the kitchen appliances - they all worked OK but could do with updating to get a maximum score for those expecting 5-star quality. We had a lovely relaxing weekend, taking walks into the surrounding forest and enjoying the peace and quiet. Our labrador loved it too!

The cottage is lovely.
The cottage is lovely. We needed accessible facilities and it was perfect. The location is remote, so it was a 20 minute drive to the nearest shop which meant it was quiet and peaceful, but may not suit everyone. Peter was very helpful with directions and very friendly.

We also booked the School House for a week from 11th September.
We also booked the School House for a week from 11th September. We have stayed in the school House before but the Annexe was for my elderly in-laws and 2 other family members. It was wonderful to be so close together and have all the family holiday with adequate space in the most beautiful star-gazing location. The owner/caretaker of both properties are so helpful and accommodating. They couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable.

What a stunning location - so peaceful and with uninterrupted views of the forest.
What a stunning location - so peaceful and with uninterrupted views of the forest. We found the property to be extremely comfortable and had a really enjoyable stay touring the coastline, forest, moors and dales of North Yorkshire.
The sitting room is very attractive and provided a cosy retreat in the evenings. The owners have done a wonderful job of restoring this room.
Sainsbury’s delivered to the property so we were never without provisions - a bonus as it’s a distance to get to a shop.
The owners are friendly and responsive and nothing was too much trouble.
The walks and drives around the property are so beautiful but it will certainly help to have good weather like we did.
