"Really nice stay in the first building built for tourism in the nineteenth century. Georgian in style and comfortable inside but only two downsides are that the building could do with some maintenance at the rear and the windows a clean due to seabird guano as the property is built on a cliff top, also cleaning staff using the word mate which isn’t too clever around non binary and lgbt people z Nice staff and I was given room 250 which was massive and helped a lot with my invisible disabilities z Nice breakfast and Gina the receptionist was extremely helpful on check out ."

"Weekend break. This seemed the perfect location from all three main destinations + no issues or hassle with parking. Service was excellent, from bar to breakfast. Don't eat here apart from breakfast which was better than most. Really nice! Room a little dated, but clean and perfect for what we needed it for."

"Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile by the receptionist who supported us with sorting a parking permit, helped us with our luggage and ensured we were happy. The room was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed and that was specified on our booking. It also comes with the most beautiful view of the scarborough coastline and the castle at the top of the hill. Its only a two minute walk to the actual beach which is just down a path in front of the hotel. The beach is beautiful and very tidy (barely any littler). We didn't get up on time for breakfast, however the menu looked great and from what i could see caters for all (check online). We will definitely be going again as it was also great value for money. "An extremely clean and superb hotel, located in a fantastic position for exploring Scarborough. Very friendly hosts and a very comfortable bed. Excellent choice of breakfast which was cooked to perfection. The full English really does set you up for the day. Highly recommended and we would certainly return without hesitation. "

"This is a very traditonal hotel in the best sense of that word. The rooms are spacious and we had one with a great view towards Robin Hoods Bay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good."
