Top Scandinavian American Bank Building Hotel Reviews
Mediterranean Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Such a fantastic stay and close to everything. Was there for business but was able to take in the beauty of the hotel. The rooftop is phenomenal. Close to a lot of really good restaurants. Parking is secure in the garage. Definitely recommend."
"We were booked into a King room but arrived to 2 single beds. There is no onsite check-in but contact phone number was extremely responsive and quickly moved us to a new room. But getting to have a peek at the room with 2 beds we were extremely grateful we booked a king. The single room was extremely barebones and the single beds seemsed a little rickety. Our King bed was very comfortable. Still a very barebones room but has everything you need. Shared bathrooms were very clean (pack your own toileties!). Check in and check out were super easy and the location literally cannot be beat. In the heart of downtown Fremont near shops, restaurants, water front, farmers market. The best that Seattle has to offer. Having the room be a little basic isn't a problem because you'll be out enjoying Fremont and Ballard anyhow. I will note I imagine the room getting really hot in the summer. Its an old building. Each room has a small, free standing AC unit, but I don't think that that would be enough to truly keep things cool on the hottest days."
"Good room for the price paid! Be aware of the common spaces. It also gets quite warm being on the top floor with no A/C unit, I recommend putting the fan in front of the window for good air flow. Host is easy to reach for check-in and any issues."
"The property was in a great location with wonderful staff, but for the price not the greatest. Rooms were okay, rips in the couches and bedding. Pool is really enclosed and dingy. Mold inside the hot tub. Place needs a refresh."
"Clean, simple, safe, helpful staff, old-school, affordable—just how I like my lodging! I plan to stay here again when I return to Seattle with my family.
You can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and a grocery store called Marketime Foods in the neighborhood."
"It was a very walkable area with many close restaurants nearby. The room was clean but had a ridiculously expensive minibar in the room so bring snacks and drinks so you will not be tempted. I asked for a late check out due to my cruise time and was granted only one hour. I do not suggest this property for pre-cruise accommodations."
"The room was extremely small, and the bathrooms were not located within the room itself — something that was never made clear upfront. I requested a room in the main hotel building, not an separate annex. The photos displayed online are highly misleading and do not accurately represent what guests actually receive for the price paid."
