Downtown Historic District Gem w/ Courtyard + 3 King Beds by Lucky Savannah

Feel like a true Savannah native when you pull up to this clapboard home. The foyer with main staircase greets you as you wander throughout the first floor. A first guest bedroom with King bed is just to your left - perfect as a mother-in-law or teen suite. Just down the hall, guests will find a full-size bathroom, with a walk-in shower. Continue on, you'll find the dining room that seats six. The kitchen is ideal for entertaining, as it's fully equipped with every culinary necessity and is open to both the living room and dining room. Kick your feet up and watch the game in the living room, filled with ample daylight from the outside. A door to the private courtyard is just right and is the perfect spot to barbecue and enjoy the sounds of the city.

Upstairs you'll find the remaining two bedrooms, one as the primary and the other a guest room with en suite bath. The primary has a King size bed, two full closets, and balcony access off of the bath. Enjoy soaking in the jetted tub after a long day of exploring the city. A flat screen TV can be found in the armoire. The guest room is opposite the primary suite and also has a King size bed and flat screen TV. The bath has a tub/shower combo and beautiful views of historic downtown.

Prospective guests should be aware of a neighboring beehive. The honeybees keep to themselves on the neighbor's second floor rooftop and are harmless, however guests with bee allergies should be cautious.

This unit has on-street parking - one side is metered and the other is non-metered in the area. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 85 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

This was a great place for our family get together. Each couple had their own bathroom and there were plenty of places to sit and visit. I’d stay here again.

Very nice home

This property was a very nice, clean house, true to the pictures. It is located in the historical district which was very convenient to all sights. We enjoyed City Market, Prohibition Museum, Ghost Tour and just walking around. Food was excellent in the restaurants we went to... Thank you again for your lovely home...

Perfect Friends Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Charming Charlton. The property was just as shown. Spacious and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. It was within walking distance of all of the highlights of Savannah and the neighborhood felt very safe. We will definitely stay again next time we go to Savannah.

Very comfortable for 6. Beautiful home, would definitely stay again. So convenient to downtown Savannah and Forsyth Park. Easy walking distance to everything. A Kroger is nearby for any food or personal needs. One suggestion: better maintenance of backyard and property would be perfect.

Perfect Proximity to Northern and Southern historic districts.

6 adult friends were a perfect match with the three bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and bathroom. The bedroom downstairs had use of the full bath on the main floor. The kitchen and living areas were ideal. I would book it again as a great value.

Short vacation

House was very clean and true to description. If you like very firm mattresses and pillows then this house is perfect for you. Each night we could easily find parking by house. It was a ~8 min walk to nearby cafes and shopping. Liked having three rooms king size beds and with their own bathrooms.

Charming home in historic neighborhood The home was clean and well stocked. Not a lot within walking distance, but short drive to everything we wanted to do. Disappointed that the waterfall in the back yard wasn’t working and the stairs off the back porch need some maintenance. Overall a great stay.

Great location-Run down property

Home was in a great location. Property was very run down, dirty, cob webs, backyard was not usable, deck was dangerous with broken rails, 3rd bath was not attached to 3rd bedroom, basic cable was slim to none, no cleaning supplies or paper products available, & some furniture pieces were broken. The home needs updates.

Weekend in Savannah

The house was beautiful and spotless and the location is wonderful. However, it would have been 5 star if there had been even one tea bag in the kitchen. There was enough ground coffee for 2 small pots of coffee and NOTHING else - no sugar, creamers, condiments, tea bags etc. Also, the TV in the living room was not connected to the internet and there was a flickering bulb in the first floor bedroom.

Perfect weekend

Three couples from NY FL and GA all met in Savannah and this rental was perfect!! Three king beds - which were all so comfortable - and 3 baths made it a great choice. We were in easy (20 mins tops) walking distance to everything!! Lafayette square was very close - which means Clary’s is close!! House was clean and exactly as shown. Once couple arrived early and were able to get early check in. Communication was easy and the app is very helpful. Will be back!!

Great getaway!

Our stay was amazing! The house was perfect and in a good location. Parking was never a problem. Beds were comfy and plenty of space! There are a few issues- though there were tons of bath towels, there were very few wash clothes. The freezer made ice, but does not dispense and the water dispenser was moldy. Two things that were issues from others are still not fixed: kitchen faucets are still broken and the water in the water feature outside has mosquitos. Overall, we were happy and would love to go back!!!!

Birthday Getaway

We loved the location. It was on the edge of the historic district and it was easy to get to where we wanted to go on foot. We liked that there were 3 king beds and three bathrooms for our party of 3 couples (though one of the bedrooms does not have a bathroom directly attached to it downstairs). The check in and check out process was really easy. The community areas (living room and tv room) were pretty small and the furniture did not accommodate 6 adults at a time, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sit and visit or watch tv all together. The walls could use some cleaning and the fridge ice dispenser and the backyard pond are still not working. Parking was a little tricky with the street sweeper and one side being paid parking, so be aware of the signs on the street. We had a great time and this was a nice place to come home to at night.

House has plenty of space. We did a lot of cooking in the home. The only items to be knowledgeable about is that there were lots of wasp nests on the exterior & the small water feature outside is full of stagnant water. Mosquitos didn’t seem to be a huge problem. Home is in good condition. It is in the historical district which means it is an older home. We definitely would stay here again. Thank you “Lucky Savannah” for managing our stay and for excellent communication. We LOVED our visit to Savannah❤️

When we arrived the WiFi wasn’t working and the office was quick to respond and resolve. We did all feel that the house was not quite what was represented in the pictures. The shower on the first floor was not an en-suite, it is public and the shower - in the closet- lacked hot water all of the time. The back patio was also a bit disappointing, bricks are upheaved making it a bit dangerous and the water feature wasn’t working so it was more a large hole to look at making it an uncozy place to relax or spend time. I would rent from the agency again but unfortunately, not likely the same home.

Disappointing rental

Location of property was great- easy walk to Riverside. Communication was great with the property manager. They were very responsive and helped me with any questions I had. We liked that the house had 3 bedrooms with 3 king beds. The house had enough plates, cups, and utensils. Some things were very disappointing that seem so easy to make better. Quality of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, and trash bag were terrible. Only supplied us with 1 trash bag and 1 paper towel. We were a group of 6 that stayed for 3 nights. Pillows were so hard and ice machine did not produce ice. There was a clump of hair in 1 shower and a clogged drain in another. The ponds in the backyard did not work and made it smell bad so it was not a spot you could hang out. Overall it was pretty disappointing for the price point.

Sister's Christmas 2023

We loved the house & its location. It was great for 6 adults. We wondered about the history of the house... if there is any it might be included in the descriotion.There were a few issues: 1. The refrigerator has a broken ice maker container & the ice will not dispense. You have to reach in for ice, and with the broken container this task is very difficult. 2. Kitchen needs a cookie sheet or two. 3. TV room furniture is uncomfortable. 4. TV room is too small for a family of 6 adults to sit comfortably & watch TV or a movie. 5. TV is not easily seen since it is recessed in the shelving unit. I know not all travelers are concerned with the television room but for those of us that like to gather there it is important!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I took our traditional beach trip to Savannah/Tybee Island and rented Charming Charlton for our stay. The best feature of the house is its location - it is within walking distance of River Street, but far enough away that you don't feel caught up in the drunken party vibe of Savannah. The house itself is in need of maintenance. The kitchen faucet fixture was loose, a kitchen baseboard was missing, which resulted in cold air blowing strongly on the feet of anyone in the kitchen, and the master bath sink has lost its mounting to the wall. There also was a broken down sink/fountain in the backyard that held stagnant water that was a breeding ground for mosquitos and all sorts of other bugs. That, frankly, was nasty and should have been better dealt with. We weren't miserable, but we hoped for more and would not book this property again.
