Bright + Airy Digs in Heart of City, Walk Everywhere by Lucky Savannah

Located on East Liberty Street, and shaded by beautiful, majestic Oak Trees, this 3 story brick residence was built in 1870 for Thomas Ballentyne. Enriched in history, this building hosts some of the oldest apartments in the Historic District. Old America has been tastefully renovated to capture the essence of the historic architectural details, such as the original hardwood flooring, brick work, windows and so much more.

Heading up to your airy digs, you'll find that the space boasts with tall ceilings, amazing natural light, and an open floor plan - an entertainers dream! Majority of the furnishings and decor pieces are vintage, dating as far back as the early 1800's, which is extremely fitting for this historic home. The gathering room boasts a 50" Smart TV with netflix, surround sound and ability to play your favorite tunes. Off the living room through double doors, a view that overlooks the serene and relaxing courtyard - enjoy the breeze on a crisp fall day and listen to the clicking of the horse drawn carriages pass by. Just off of this space, you'll find the quaint yet fully stocked kitchen where you'll have everything needed for short, or extended stays.

Don't fret if you're a night owl, the bedrooms are on the opposite end of the apartment, away from the gathering room so you'll never be a pest for those looking to get an earlier nights rest! Each room is fitted with a plush queen size bed, with crisp white linens, wireless chargers and an ample amount of storage for your belongings. The primary suite has its own private ensuite bathroom, that feature spa like amenities where you can soak or steam as long as you desire after a long day of adventure. The second full bathroom gleams with natural light and is located just off of the hall, easy for guests to access.

Downstairs, the communal courtyard is a serene oasis where you can escape from your party, start your morning off with a cup of joe, or enjoy an afternoon read. You'll also be just steps from the most beautiful squares in Savannah, in addition to River Street, Colonial Cemetery, and Broughton Street. There are many outstanding restaurants, coffee shops and cocktail bars along East Liberty Street, so you'll never be far from something great!

Parking for this home is on-street and metered, with enforcement by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Guests may conveniently pay using the ParkSavannah app, feed the meter or parking kiosks directly, or utilize a nearby public parking garage. Pre-paid visitor parking passes are available for purchase at the Parking and Mobility Services office. Please take note of posted Sweep Zone signs when parking on the street.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit and a limit of 1 dog per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs or up to 2 dogs, please inquire for more information.

Great location and clean rental

We had a wonderful stay here during Memorial Day weekend. The location was walking distance to the main attractions such as Forsyth park and the river walk. The rental was clean and the showers had good water pressure with lots of toiletries. The building is older but overall it was a great stay.

Great location and perfect amount of space!

We had 3 couples that stayed in this space and it was perfect. It was close enough to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Metered parking was right outside the door on liberty street so very convenient! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful quiet street

This the perfect spot for a family with children. There is a playground right behind the property. We saved so much money being able to budget for one meal out per day and being able to prepare the rest in the apartment. The unit is clean and very charming. We loved it!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The web pictures are the absolute best possible photoshopped version of this dark, dingy space. I could write my name in the dust on the mirror. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms. It REEKED of insecticide--we avoided the space as much as possible. It was relatively clean, though, and there were ample towels.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The individuals at Lucky Savannah are terrific people! Once they found out how abysmal this property was, they refunded half of my rental cost.The property itself was a nightmare! Everything from chipping paint to obvious termite damage throughout the house. The highlight was actual weeds growing through the window sill into the house. The front door looked like you were entering a tenement house. In the description of the property highlights a beautiful courtyard where you can sit and relax. That courtyard was full of equipment and it was closed to anyone who wanted to sit and relax. The property looks like it may be in the early stages of a rehab, if that is the case, they should not have offered it for a rental. Quite frankly, the entire property was revolting.

We loved the location and the size of the living room for all of us to be together. It’s perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to do, with lots of cute cafes and shops nearby. We did notice there was some dust, the second bed had a decent dip in the middle, and the shower was really small but we loved our stay and would likely stay again!

Location is everything in Savannah and this one was perfect. Everything was within a 15 min walk and allowed us to keep the cars parked the whole stay. Note that we only had to pay 8-5 mon-fri and nothing on Saturday or sun right in front. Was very welcoming and the only bad thing I could say is the couple of toe stops that can catch you if you don't watch. Kitchen, bathrooms and that big step going to master bathroom. I was very uncomfortable on the master bed, but that was me as it was very firm. Would stay again.

Wonderful Birthday Celebration

My wife and I treated our daughter and her best friend to a 21st birthday weekend in Savannah. The apartment had so much charm and character and the restaurants and bars in the neighborhood were much more “local” and less touristy. The location was still convenient to River Street and all the tourist stuff with nothing more than a mile away. Absolutely perfect experience.
