Recently renovated, Chatham Square Manor is a large, two-bedroom townhouse has plenty of space for up to six Lucky guests to relax in true Southern style. The parlor level has a light and bright living space with a decorative fireplace, large flat screen TV, and plenty of comfortable seating. Enjoy dinner in the adjacent dining room or a quick meal in the eat-in kitchen. Large windows look out into the courtyard, shared with the Garden Apartment.

Both bedrooms are upstairs. The first bedroom has a king bed with an iron headboard that compliments the fireplace grate. The second bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite bath. A second full bathroom is at the top of the stairs, and also includes a full size washer and dryer.

Mix with locals and find fresh ingredients for dinner at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays in Forsyth Park, just two minutes away. Take a stroll to the cross streets of Bull and Liberty for some boutique shopping at The Book Lady Bookstore, Satchel, and Red Clover.

Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Chatham Square Oasis

Beautiful accommodations, a few blocks from Forsyth Park and a fifteen minute walk from River Street. Quiet location on the edge of Chatham Square. House is amazing and realty company was very user friendly. If you're looking for a perfect location to take advantage of Savannah sites and charm, this is it. Beds are cozy and comfortable, furnishings capture the charm and ambiance of old Savannah.

Historic and beautiful

Beautiful- immersed in historical antiques - very comfortable- exquisitely decorated- very well located - easy walking distance to much of what we wanted to see. Parking was very convenient. A couple of minor things: No coffee filters - no condiments at all - salt, pepper,etc. A very small inconvenience compared to the comfort, ambiance and location- we would highly recommend and return if we can someday. Very comfortable for 4 adults!!

Perfect Place

This was the perfect property for 2 couples to share. We were in town for a wedding in Savannah, but took advantage of the city and historical places as well. Lots of walking, but also convenient to have 2 parking places included. It was a convenient walk to parks, restaurants, historical venues and the riverfront.

Chatham Manor

Over all was a good experience. It was a very beautiful and historic building. If I had to nit pick the smell was a very musky old home smell. The window of the bedroom was open. One of the nightstands in the bedroom was very wobbly as well. Definitely be prepared to lug luggage up stairs. Nothing was a deal breaker for us and would definitely stay there again.

Spacious and comfortable home away from home

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in town to move my daughter into SCAD. The property is beautiful and clean, the historical charm is wonderful. The garden was a bit overgrown and therefore difficult to walk through the back and we weren't able to sit outside and enjoy it. The listing is fairly accurate but the check-in instructions and the binder on-site are inaccurate and/or outdated. Property management was responsive but most of the reason I had to contact them was due to check-in issues or questions. All was resolved in the end and it was a comfortable stay, I would stay here again.

farewell to a loved one

property was nice beds were comfortable, quick 2 night stay for a funeral will come back like the neighborhood. now for the downs not horrible but just suggestions not enough towels no face clothes only 2 hand towels for 6 people and 5 towels, after reading other reviews we bought our own towels and face clothes, also tiki torches or something to try to keep mosquitos from attacking to enjoy the nice courtyard otherwise i would return oh yes do not lock any doors maybe 1 skeleton key near somewhere would help with that we were locked out of a room our own fault.

Golden Girls 70th Birthday tour

Luxurious accommodation on Chatham Square. Well appointed kitchen. Very comfortable beds except for the hide-a-bed that is well used. Our friend with the broken foot had to sleep there and it was not comfortable. Everything else was wonderful! We enjoyed exploring beautiful Savannah on foot, pushing our friend along in her wheel chair. We shopped, dined, and took in the Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil walking tour as we had all reread the book. An excellent experience. We would all come back to 305 A on West Gordon and we recommend it highly. Thank you!

Simply wonderful!

This was a great place to stay. The property was well decorated in period style (except the remodeled kitchen and bathrooms). We enjoyed our stay at the property very much. It was close to everything we wanted to do (we didn't get to do it all so we'll have to come back again!) and we felt very safe there. An added bonus that we didn't know about when we booked the trip was that this was the weekend of Wag-o-ween and we were excited to see so many dressed up doggos around the historic town and the squares. The only things that really bothered us were the very loud exhaust fan in the en suite bathroom and the television downstairs that would not change channels - but then we decided we really didn't want to watch TV anyway. Another suggestion is that for those evenings when we were wanting to stay in it would have been wonderful to have some games there (especially since the TV was stuck on the wrestling channel).

Nice but….

Nice house and clean. But dishes out of dishwasher smelled terrible. Please clean dishwasher or upgrade soap. Pans in cabinet were dirty with dried egg. Gutters need to be cleaned as back steps are like shower when rains and there’s foliage growing in gutters. More towels without extra fee please I find that ridiculous. Plus if you want a clean kitchen back a couple dish towels wld be nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is in a lovely area facing the Chatham Square! Since this is a historic home there is a full flight of steps to get to the front door. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are great and there is good AC. The home is thoughtfully decorated with pretty antiques that go well together. The front sofa has 2 really worn bare spots. Upon walking in the door the sofa one of the first things you see; not a fabulous first impression. Also there is a musty odor but we spent the hours of the day outside. One of our fellow travelers has asthma and was not bothered by the smell. We would stay there again.
