Hibernation Station – Free Spring Night

Experience that feel-at-home sensation when you walk into Hibernation Station. This property offers a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a coffee maker with both a standard drip and Keurig.

The master bedroom features a king bed and the guest bedroom a queen bed. Each bedroom has an in suite bathroom. Each bedroom has their own entry to the back porch. The bedrooms are located on either side of the living room. This layout is ideal for privacy for two couples.

Fire up the gas grill and enjoy the mountain view. At the end of the day, you can enjoy a relaxing evening soaking in the hot tub out on the covered porch. There is also an outdoor fire pit and horseshoes at Hibernation Station.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the view and location of this cabin. Even though there were other dwellings around, it was still quiet. Our only negative comment would be about the cleanliness of the floors. As we cleaned up a spill in a bathroom, we found that the floor had really not been mopped lately. Also, there was a spill in front of the brown chair in the living area that had not been cleaned up indicating that that area of the floor had not been cleaned. We did have a lovely time here. We heard and saw many animals off the deck. Overall a nice place.

Beautiful view and very clean cabin. I reported to Georgia Mountain Rentals that the French doors leading to the screened in deck could be pushed open even when locked. The couch and chair needs to be replaced due to padding being worn. Queen bed was comfortable. The only other thing was a Keurig coffee maker was listed so we bought k-cups and they would not fit the Hamilton Beach coffee pot that was there. Quiet place and the hot tub was great! Close to Unicoi State Park and a few miles to Main St. Helen.

Amazing stay! Beautiful views & perfect location!!

House was beautiful, views even better than the picture! Everything was super clean including hot tub and grills! We really enjoyed spending time on the porch enjoying the view and by the fire. Also pretty easy short dirt road going up to house street and driveway was paved which was great!! Just a 10ish min drive from main town of Helen so if you’re looking for somewhere quieter with a view but still easy drive to shops etc. this is the place! Would definitely stay again if we came back to Helen-loved it!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with our selection of Hibernation Station. It was completely private. We enjoyed the hot tub which was screened in on the back deck so you didn’t have to worry about bugs. We made s’mores at the fire pit one night. You do have to provide your own log or wood. The cabin isn’t new, but it was clean. The kitchen was stocked sufficiently to prepare the foods we cooked there with a little ingenuity. The beds were very comfortable - not too firm, not too soft. The shower heads are small, but the water pressure is great. We used the indoor fireplace on several cooler days. We got great pictures of the Northern Lights one night from the back deck with the mountains silhouetted in the foreground! Seeing Northern Lights was one of my bucket list items! The cabin was just a few minutes from Helen, which was another bucket list item of mine; and we enjoyed shopping, dining and seeing some entertainment there. We also hiked to Anna Ruby and Minnehaha Falls, both of which were beautiful. The staff at Georgia Mountain Rentals were always helpful, pleasant and professional. Overall, it was a great getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very enjoyable stay. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing. We stayed 8 days and Ga Mountain called to offer an extra trash pickup which was nice & needed. The remote battery was running low, we left a message in the evening and someone was there with new batteries the next morning. The view of the mountains from the cabin is gorgeous and we really enjoyed the back porch area!! We spent most of our time at the cabin on the porch. The bed was comfortable. We had a fire in the outdoor fire pit. The coffeepot was really slow and needs to be replaced but that would be our only suggestion. As far as the town of Helen, which is not GMR's concern, it was very disappointing! We had expected a recreation of a German Alpine city, with German music, performers, people dressed in German attire, streets and buildings more authentic, etc. It was disappointing! There are a lot of beautiful scenic drives, the old store was nice and Ruby Anna Falls. We did not go tubing. It looked like fun. The accommodations get a 10 plus rating!!

My wife and teenage daughter stayed in this 2 bedroom cabin and had a great week! Loved how the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were on opposite sides of the cabin to allow privacy. Truly loved sitting in the screened in deck area since I'm not a fan of buzzing and biting bugs. Also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the screened in area with the mountains as my view.Also, the cabin was very close to fun such as city of Helen, tubing, hiking, Anna ruby waterfalls among lots of other stuff. Highly recommend and my family would definitely come back to this cabin.

Wonderful place to get away

Nice quite secluded cabin that gets you away for a while. If you need a break from it all this is the place to go
