Wonderful getaway!
Needed to get away, booked this cabin through Tanglewood and we were in the quiet and peaceful escape by that evening - same day service! The cabin was perfect for us (two adults) but could have fit more as there were two rooms with queen beds and two full bathrooms. Everything was fully stocked, towels, bedding, and kitchen equipment. We just had to show up and relax in the huge patio and warm hot tub. The location was awesome for visiting Helen, Unicoi State Park, and Smithfall Woods State Park! Highly suggest this cabin or using Tanglewood Cabin Rentals for another stay as they had amazing customer service.

Mtn. Miner's Cabin
We enjoyed our stay here at Mountain Miner's Cabin! We had a little trouble finding the place at first, but guest service was very nice and helpful. It was clean inside, and neat. I gave a 4 for location only because we would have preferred to be a little closer to Helen, but it wasn't too far. Four for condition only because the outside could use a good pressure wash, but other than that, everything was great. I would love to come back when I had longer than a weekend.

Great stay
Beautiful location very private. When we had challenge with hottub they sent someone right away to fix. The driveway does need to be paved like others nearby. It is very steep and it was nerve racking to drive a 2 wheel drive SUV up. Had to go fast and continue accelerating the whole way even while the drive curved - the loose gravel and potholes prevented safe traction. Would come back here but only if driveway is corrected.

Some issues!
The wi-fi password was incorrect they sent for the welcome email. The hot tub is dirty and needs to be drained and scrubbed along with toilets. Bugs inside the cabin and spider webs everywhere. Kitchen had dirty towels and dishes. Some basic kitchen items were not present, or were d and rusty. The wood floor turned white socks black in 30 minutes. Location is great but Waze could not find it and we got no written directions. We have stayed in lots of north Georgia cabins, but sad to say we will not return to this one!

The description said there was a hot tub but there wasn’t one. It didn’t detract from our stay but the owner may want to revise the description.

Great screened porch!
Extremely comfortable and spacious. Really enjoyed the screened-in porch and its wonderful view. A few things gould be improved, such as a working can opener, more than one hanger in each closet, and sheets that aren’t pilled. Over all, a great place to stay.

Cabin conditions
There were light bulbs out in living and dining rooms, spider webs in cabin, the small room which looked like laundry room looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Didn't feel like we could sit in porch do do spider webs and screens were torn. Only 2 chairs out by fire pit, there were 4 of us. Mold on door of freezer. Needs outside maintenance,

Misrepresented & Dirty Areas
At the time of booking which was about 1-1/2 weeks prior to the stay the listing still stated "with a hot tub" in the title. The hot tub was broken at the time of arrival and the management was contacted immediately. They stated the tub has been broken over a month and offered no suitable resolution, just "sorry". The screened porch where the broken hot tub is was unusable. It was filthy, covered in spider webs and what seemed like an old pollen film on everything. The inside was clean enough and the one bed used was okay. The neighboring house is pretty close and can be seen clearly from the screen porch and the driveway side of the house. The opposite side of the house is more private and has a camp size fire ring that had garbage in it. There is very limited outdoor space with no view when leaves are on the trees. It was a place to stay but not worth it for what was advertised and expected.

Some issues!
The hot tub needs a really good cleaning. I understand well water might stain the tub, but a draining and good scrubbing would take care of it, and the stained toilets. The wood floors were very dirty! White socks turns black in less than an hour. The cabin needs to be exterminated! Bugs inside the cabin. The information sent to us was not the correct wi-fi. We have rented cabins all over north Georgia and I am sorry to say we will not be returning to this location.
Falsely advertised. In the pic the cabin was not inundated with trees it was advertised with a hot tub. The loose steep gravel driveway can be a death trap, I got stuck and my truck wheels spinning.I had no wifi to call the host for key box access code and i had to go to Vaca cabin rentals to find the host business bldg with no one inside. Layed on my horn and their laundry lady came, she drove away to talk with the host to get me the code for keybox. When i got inside i went directly to the wifi router and downloaded their wifi my phone said i was connected but i wasnt able to call thehost. While waiting for the wifi to connect i looked for the hot tub there wasnt one and the vrbo site had shown a beautiful view from the back deck. There was no view except for tall grown trees without a hot tub. I felt unsafe because of not good wifi and the steep loose gravel driveway. I left leaving the door locked and input their key back i the lock box and changed the combo thingy. I was unable to connect with the host after leaving unyil i got to downtown Helen, Ga. I has very disappointed and mad at the same time. I wasted my gas and time to get their, this was my 63rd Birthday trip. Thenthehost tild me the hot tub had been removed a year prior and that it wasnt in the ad. I have a dispute on file. I drove from 10am to get there when I left I drove 9hrs straight home. I nevercwant to deal with Tanglewood properties ever again. Plus now I see their new ad has a lot of generic stuff

High Dollar for Lower Quality, Deceptive
My wife and I wanted a relaxing time for a quick get-away so with this listing stating it had a hot tub and was pet friendly it seemed perfect. We booked about two weeks in advance. Upon arriving and settling in we went to the hot tub to start our relaxation. Nope, hot tub is broken so I immediately contacted Tanglewood, the management company. They stated, the tub has been broken for over a month and they removed it from the listing. That was not true as the listing stated a hot tub and if it has been broken, why not mention it to us in the many interactions we had prior to arriving? Their response to the situation was they can give a late check-out or stay another night. We work so another night was not possible, and a late check-out is for the most part meaningless. Money back would be the acceptable solution, but they stand firm on no money back because we stayed. Where else are we going to go last minute on Memorial Day weekend in Helen, GA with a dog?The cabin is poorly maintained, spider webs in all the dirty windows and screens. The screened in porch was filthy and also covered in spiderwebs, furniture and all so basically it was unusable. The inside is okay and clean enough. Most everything is so low quality though is it distracts from the nice wood walls. The pic of the place makes it look like it is in an open area, not so and there's neighbors.Overall, with the exception of seeing Helen, we could have stayed home and relaxed more.

Not the best area to stay
First I will say the woman at Tanglewood was very nice. I don’t think this is their cabin but they oversee it. It is up to the owners to fix it up and obviously they don’t put money back into the property at all.
The pictures are not accurate at all. This is an old cabin. The road leading to the cabin is a rock road very narrow and spits up rocks. The driveway is not level and the area around the cabin is all rock. The firepit area is dirty and two plastic chairs. The wood decking is rotting. There are massive spiders on the front porch. When you walk in it appears ok. The kitchen is awful all old appliances. The sides of the refrigerator look like it was in a flood. The stove has aluminum foil wrapped pans like in the 60’s. The dining table has sticky stuff on it so when you put your napkins on it it sticks to it. Just gross! The TV is not cable and you have to add your own passwords or pay. The fireplace looks like it has never been cleaned. Nothing about this cabin is very nice. Takes forever to get anywhere due to the road you have to drive on. If you just want a place to sleep and have a beat up car go for it! I have many photo’s but this review does not permit you to post.
This cabin was fantastic for us. We went over the Thanksgiving Holiday. While small, the cabin was designed that each bedroom had it's own bathroom, and they were on separate sides of the cabin, providing privacy.

Enjoyed But…
I enjoyed it, but they had us do the cleaning, which made no sense, but explains why it wasn’t cleaned. Some baby cockroaches in drawer. I’m an inspector and I saw a few things that should of never been. But it was enjoyable to spend time with family
